I don't enjoy sad endings and pretty much avoid them if possible....so thanks for asking the question because I was curious about this drama as well.

It is my top five favs of all time. I can say that the FL's voice was a little annoying to me because it was so soft and whispery. But at the end of the drama, I understood why the director chose that actress....because she was just like water, both gentle and soft, yet strong and resilient. Hope you enjoy it!

This is how I felt as well. I was able to get to episode 9, but for the same reasons you listed I decided to drop it.

I am fan of your feed Spicy Red Flag and gonna work my way all the way through this list. Red flags, spicy kisses and happy endings are what I am always looking! I would suggest adding "My Lethal Man", ML is Fan Zhixin as it contains all the ingredients needed to fit this list. If you have not watched "My Lethal Man" , I believe you will enjoy it.

Actually he did help her and she said that he visited her often while she was in the hospital getting treated. But it was all a plot to get the FL to be with him. This drama seems to have been written by a teenager, because only a teenager would think that hospital staff would be okay with performing a bone marrow transplant (which btw is incredibly painful) on someone that does not need it and providing lab results to a patient that says they have Leukemia . All of that just have a relationship with someone else. All kinds of ridiculous.

I will admit that I have not watched a xianxia yet, as fantasy has never really interested me, even in my native English language. But you give some straight up solid recommendations, so I will try out an episode or two.

This sounds intriguing.....what's the spice factor on this one...mild, medium or hot?

But you still gave it an 8, so the story must be pretty good, since the spice turned out to be bland after all. Teasing spice fans is not nice, but I will give it a watch anyway. Thanks for your review!

Thank you so much for accepting my friend request! I have checked out your recommendations and it seems we have very similar tastes in dramas. Sometimes I waste hours and hours on my day off just trying to find a drama that is to my taste and you have a ton of them I have not even seen yet....your list is going to save me a lot of time. 😊 By the way, I am on episode 17 of Rise from the Ashes and it is a hidden jewel for sure.

I have not watched this drama yet because it looks liked just another palace drama and I have watched my fair share of those. Does it have a happy ending, or do I need to have tissues ready for my tears?

I watched this drama as well and I can say it was hard to watch, because I just wanted to really do some damage to the ML! But it was interesting, well acted, worth the watch. Serious assault issues for sure.
