Now on a more critical note, is anyone else ticked that LR's whole plan sucked and he didn't gain any traction…
YR basically become the main character of the movie "Looper", but the writer of that movie at least established clear time travel rules. This drama wasted YR character, he gained nothing from his plotting scheme. And didn't really pose any real threat to the main character. What he was waiting for for the last 25 years exactly?!

"But does he still have the flute when he went inside the gate? I thought he did not" - I thought the same thing, but dialog's clues say what I explained above, thats why I wrote that I think is the editing's fault. Scene lacks an editorial moment when LMH puts half-disintegrated flute into his pocket.

I think is the editing's fault. I think the idea is that the flute is gradually dissappearing as LMH jumps through the portal over and over, and the longer is out of the portal, the faster it disintegrates. That's what I got from the dialog.

Please... Can someone explain to me why Tae Eul had those scars/injuries in her hands and neck in episode 14?…
My guess is the gas explosion a couple scenes earlier, but the editing is so unskilfully done, that who knows for sure.

Also, didn't LMH tell Yo Jeong to protect her? Where was he whec she was stabbed?!

If Yi Lim is dead, then what about the scene that happened in the beginning of the drama?
Is this supposed to be a loop of alternate timelines? This is the only possible theory left at this point.

Well now at least we know the flute is a sentient being. But if it dissappears in the past it has no future. How they are gonna explain that.

As expected, this show suffers from inconsequential rules of time travel. Yet another drama where writer could not decide on one time travel theory only to put in some overdramatic pathos! There are also some other broken worldbuilding rules that in theory have been established previously, (sarcasm on) but hey, who cares at this point, right?! (sarcasm off) This drama is a mess, why?! It truly breaks my heart... It makes me want to go back to the past and talk some sense into the writer lol

This drama is something I needed desperately, and I didn't even know it! The attitudes of main characters are really refreshing. And even though the plot is "a-monster-of-the-week" type (that I'm usually not very fond of), because it has many other things going on, so it doesn't bother me at all.

In case of Luna, I think she is playing her own game. Also quite possibly she had another talk with yo-yo god (if you've seen the next episode preview, it's seems likely) and/or changed her objective. I doubt she is truly on Yi Lim side (she broke to his apartment/warehouse, took his money (?)). She seems to be self-absorbed above everything else.
There is also the question of the pregnant lady – what does Yi Lim want from her? What does he gain from replacing her? It was never explain who she is other than she is PM’s friend (?) /relative (?). What is her significance?
As of PM - I really hope she won’t become as you said “a vindictive, shallow second female lead”. I hope next episodes will explain what was her plan in all of this exactly. I doubt she was threatened with the life of her mother. She wanted some information gathering from her husband, maybe it has something to do with that.

It is difficult to think why would Koo Shin-a be killed (maybe to be sure that she won't meet the prime minister? If this would be the only reason, kidnapping and drugging her for a couple days would be much less of a fuss and safer in my opinion) but I can't think of other reason why PM is experiencing the pain.
Also, I can't understand why would the guy who took care of the royal horses would go to Korea and kill his doppelgänger and then come back? It makes no sense. Wasn't he supposed to take care of his father's company in Korea?
Also, PM is power hungry, maybe she thought that she would gain something from working with Yi Lim? Maybe she wanted to became the queen by marring Yi Lim after Lee Gon's death, because she knew LG would never marry her? Or she wanted to have an upper hand? But she definitely got played, big time.

Episodes 11-12 are actually quite good, finally some proper action. If this was the quality of the episodes from the very beginning, this drama would be a hit.
I really like this snarky interaction between Shinjae and Yeong, I hope this is a beginning of a beautiful friendship :D

And the child with a yo-yo is definitely a god :D And the escape scene from episode 11 was Tae-eul basically unintentionally playing the game of life on cheat codes XD I felt a little bit sorry for Yi Lim ;) The scene was really good although I have some things that I really want to nitpick when it comes to editing. The problems are minor, but this comment would become a lucubration for sure…

As for theories: I'm guessing that prime minister killed her "south-korean" self? That's why characters experience pain during storms - because the balance is off and that's why Tae-eul/Luna and Eun-seob/Yeong do not experience any backlash? Also Shin-jae seems to not experience it either, so maybe the "real" Shin-jae is either alive or died before Hyeon-min was transported to Korea?

IMO it's no bad editing but a disruption of timeline. I think it's superb editing and cinematography. I only understand…
I think the fact that you had to watch it twice to understand is also the indicator that there is something wrong. I had to watch it twice too, and I normally understand everything. But the thing is you should not have to - good editing is one of the reasons to show the story in a smooth way.

Yeah episode 10 really struggled with editing and where scenes should flow. I hadnt really noticed much before…
I haven't noticed that in the previous episodes that much either, although ep9 also could be done better. To be honest I can see that the editing for ep10 was done by at least two different people. Even though I know the practice is that they edit episodes in 10 minutes segments, it never stood out to me as much.
On The King: Eternal Monarch May 16, 2020
Editing of episode 10 is a joke. So many issues. Discontinuity between scenes, problems with establishing timeline and scenes cuts in the middle of their proper ending (that includes dialog-scene consequence issues) It was like they missed some of the proper footage. I haven't seen such a bad editing job in a drama in a long time.

I Just answered to your other comment with the same theory about black mail, ha! :) I dont like lee gon character too much either, e specially because the plot do not pose any personal challenges for him to realise his flaws. Sadly He doesn't feel humane basically.

I feel the same. I am still waiting for good reasons about their sudden romance... Their moves seem really random…
The Child comment of her apperience made me think of Taeeul, actually (I have a theory that maybe she timetravelled with Shinjae). But maybe Luna is on it too... I also wonder why he is impersonating Shinjae from the Republic of korea. Well i mean its definetly a matter of his real Mother from Corea, and Im guessing she is working for Yi Lim against her will (he is a hostage, either knowingly or unknowingly).
