Is this connected to the first part in a way that they somehow find out they knew each other in their past life?…
It can absolutely be seen as two separate shows. Because of censorship the FL doesn't specifically remember her past life like she apparently does in the book. Instead she works as a dubber and feels an inate resonance with the story One and Only that she's dubbing and the characters within it. At one point in the early episodes she goes to the tower where she jumped in OaO and has a sense of deja vue but the clothes are apparently slightly different. ML has no connection to the past other than his name and portrays his character in a VERY different manner from OaO almost to the point of wondering if it's actually the same actor.
The only other thing I've seen the leads in was a reality show "Real Actor" and although still plenty of room…
Haven't watched anything else with the FL but Xie Bin Bin in Party A Who Lives Beside Me was pretty good overall. Was also MangoTV though and didn't get picked up anywhere else to find better subs though.
I feel like in most shows the ending falls flat when compared to the beginning. In this show It's really the opposite, if anything you get a bit of mystery to peak your interest at the very beginning and then a loooong winding and slow moving story that then hits you almost out of nowhere with feelings and deeper meanings behind everything. It almost demands a rewatch as soon as you finish just to try and pick up what you now know from the beginning.
That said though, because the story was so disjointed to a degree on first watch and the romantic feelings between the FL and the ML are really only present in flashbacks since the link between emotion and memory had been cut, it's hard to truly give full stars.
If rating based on episodes: 8 for ep1-4.25, 6 for ep 4.25-8.5, 8 for ep 8.5-11, 9 for ep 12&13.
When he was confessing and kissing in the hospital... I don't know why but i kept thinking a nurse might pop out…
Sigh, yes there have been too many times when false kisses happen in a drama that it's almost expected to have someone randomly walk in and be like : "Sir, what are you doing out of your room? You have a concussion" just as he's leaning down to kiss her.
This is such a sweet and relaxing show. I will say though Yan Yue trying to build up the courage to confess with a candlelight dinner and flowers and wearing a suit was SO cringe. I mean I felt for him but at the same time kept thinking "this isn't you and this isn't her... when she shows up it's going to fail because she's going to be confused and you're going to have to try and brush it off." 😖😔
This is absolutely akin to those trashy Wattpad bodice-ripper type stories. If you like those trope-filled, anything-goes type stories then even with the low rating this is a must watch. The entire thing (especially the 1st episode) gives off a film student project / YouTube video editing style.
•Multiple abductions of FL •SML who was blind and has amnesia that "got better", treats FL like trash because? Then oops I really love you... •Multiple characters not really dead •FL literally locked in a sea tower to give birth and have child stolen •ML father abuses him for funnies? •FL is adopted and family is evil incarnate, drugs her, frames her •Oh look FL had a twin brother who died, now has Instant family again •SML destroys said family because he loves her and is fine with her hating him? •ML and FL seem to forget they have a child that's being held hostage for two years, don't seriously try to get him back •FL has a mental break down because she's sneered at and called an other woman and home wrecker - goes basically catatonic •FL drugged by sister and DEFINITELY NOT left to be gang r*ped despite that being the intonation of the scene •ML goes missing for 4 years
--Believe it or not there's more that's not being mentioned and I've probably forgotten or would take too much to explain.
That had to be THE cheesiest ott proposal scene I have ever seen so far. Also, they almost had me going for a moment that there wouldn't be a "turning myself in" scene but they managed to tack it on at the literal last second.
episode 3 - 38 min mark"When the scarecrow meets his beloved girl Sophie, how should he love her? Being her clothesline on sunny days. Holding an umbrella for her on rainy days. Wiping away the tears she shed for others. Exchanging his life for her chance to survive in desperate situations. The scarecrow can also be a prince. But he is destined not to be Sophie's prince. So, to take a step back, and just be a silent smiling scarecrow, is this the correct answer to love?"
his character fell first, sometimes cringe, doing embarassing things for FL's attention. I don't think it's the…
There are plenty of Cdramas where the ML has been in a relationship prior to the FL. If there weren't how would we have a trope of the ML's ex coming back to try and win him back?
As for showing sexual attraction at seeing a "beautiful woman" are you looking to see a ML who acts like the "Mr Wang" from this show and is sexually harassing every "cute" girl he sees? Because that's not how the majority of men react either.
Hadn't been planning to add another airing drama to my list but was immediately drawn to it... Here's to hoping…
6 episodes in and I'm in awe personally. I love the music throughout the episodes and the references within Yan Yue's podcast give a wonderful insight to the thoughts of an otherwise mostly silent character. I also like how An Ran is slowly switching over to becoming his fan rather than Jiang Shan's without her even noticing. (Thought the fan group chat was rather funny as she hurriedly ran to grab his fan pillow)
this actor doesn’t get tired of playing the same CEO role over and over again? anywho how is this drama? worth…
Either you like him and his dramas or you don't it seems. If you are a fan of light, contract relationship dramas then watch it. If you feel they are overdone and want the equivalent of classic literature with a deep meaning in drama form then skip it. 🙂
Just finished watching, but it wasn't explained why it kept on resetting. Why were there resets? Who or what caused…
It's hinted at the end that MengMeng started the loop somehow (the mom saw MM's figure looking satisfied as she's being hauled away). The FL and ML were both originally asleep which allowed the loop to go into effect for them and give them both a reset point. Essentially the time loop was MM last cry for help since she didn't want to see her parents become murderers.
First, I honestly loved this show though the last couple episodes made me want to throttle the ML and scream at him to just tell her what was going on.
Despite laughing out loud multiple times though I felt the actual story itself was missing some editing maybe? Like how it doesn't show Ke Si Yi being recruited as a spy so when she starts getting text messages it feels like it's from left field. Later when the business storyline picks up in the final several episodes it felt like there should have been more information provided at least to the audience about the stakes at play but we are as much in the dark as the FL.
Lol call me weird but the thing that probably annoyed me most in this short drama was that once again there's a disabled man in a wheelchair who is "magically" cured and has no trouble walking ever again.
That said though, because the story was so disjointed to a degree on first watch and the romantic feelings between the FL and the ML are really only present in flashbacks since the link between emotion and memory had been cut, it's hard to truly give full stars.

Must be watched to be believed.
