Overall not a bad version of this plot but also not amazing. Sound dubbing was awful, one person would speak and be audible while the next person would and the words they were saying would be practically inaudible.

While this carries nothing new regarding the reborn sister marriage swap trope I personally found it very enjoyable to watch and thought the leads had chemistry together when they were just near eachother. If you are looking for an overly 'intimate' story there isn't a lot here (even when FL cares for a wound the ML covers 90% of his chest, let alone expecting multiple kiss or bed scenes) but it still managed to showcase a clear sense of two people attracted to eachother and falling for the other.

And yes... It's over 7hrs long. The English Localization sites didn't even license it either... 'Rise of the Thug' is season 1 and 'Rise of the Thug: Power Court' is season 3 🤡🤦‍♀️ - so you have people literally complaining that the start of season 2 doesn't make sense based on the end of season 1... because they didn't watch an entire 7 HOURS worth of story to connect the two 🤣

No problem 🥰 I've been going through backlogged dramas so hadn't watched it myself but this was his first appearance after switching companies and agents and it'd already been mentioned he would only be a 'special guest star' but places like Douban etc just list him 3rd because 'name recognition'.

Just to clarify: 2ML is Jiu Yue (玖月) - Wang Yuwei is a cameo (similar to the one he did in Liu Ning's version of Villain Cub) 😅 I'd hate for someone unaware to try sitting through the 2 1/2 hr part 2 for a cameo if they aren't interested in the drama; just him.

I just clicked it and it works for me. I'm not sure why it doesn't for you. The channel is King's Drama Hub and it's been up for just over 3 months. I'm not sure how long their license is good for.

Best aspect is Wu Hao but he doesn't have enough time to be sweet, he mostly just stands around with his doe eyes going "jiejie". The beginning is rough editing and bounces from middle to back to flashbacks... all over the place... it was an average childhood sweetheart torture repeater with a fantasy-type setting 🤷‍♀️

Synopsis:

FL grows up in MLs palace. They both have dreams/fantasies about the other person 'before' her Coming-of-Age but nothing is acted in reality until after. FL also acts rather infantile with a high pitched voice. Either the very premise will be a no-go for you or it will watch it anyway.
That said... I think my favorite character was actually the Emperor 😅 That guy is definitely going to abdicate within 5 years and run off on vacation somewhere saying 'so long... your problem now' to the ML.

Highly enjoyable if you don't mind watching delusional 2MLs failing over and over again. Intimacy was on sweet level rather than spicy.
