Watching this one several episodes at a time on 3x speed is the best way to enjoy this in my opinion 🤣🤡 - All the running and jumping and kabedons are SOOO much better sped up
At this point I watched all 6 episodes that came out to start. This is not going to be for everyone, especially since it appears that you NEED 3-4 episodes to even start to tolerate the way the story is told. The "comedy" does tone down with each episode.
Right now the biggest negative for me still is that it seems like they are cutting scenes but still referring to cut scenes later. This is a major plot point in episode 6 that had me actually go back through the previous episodes to make sure I hadn't somehow forgotten the scene being "revealed" in flashback.
Without spoiling WHAT it's about, I'd had a question about how and at what point the ML and FL were "suddenly" closer and developing feelings. I shrugged it off. Ep 6 flashback scene basically SHOWS when the change happened but again it didn't happen for us to see ORIGINALLY in it's "proper" spot.
After watching the first two episodes I've gathered that this is simply one of those cheap cheesy costume dramas…
That weird forced "non-comedy" does seem to go almost completely away by the end of the 6th episode but I agree with you. I had a feeling the comedy was going to be continually toned down when it was slightly better in 2nd episode than the 1st and I was basically right. It's basically settled down to "sitcom" style comedy every so often.

Yeah if you look at my earlier comment I watched the first 6 episodes and was underwhelmed and imo the first case made NO sense but I managed to "mostly" follow the second case. If it stays the way it is right now this will probably become a 7/10 for me with the 1st episodes lowering the rating average.

After one episode I'm not sure how I feel. There's no comedy tag and I didn't laugh but it "felt" like the show was expecting me to laugh in several scenes... Rather I was rolling my eyes.

No, they aired Love's Rebellion then too last year and they air bunch of "smaller" shows then all the time. Basically they'll be competeing directly against The Blossoming Love which is also a Xanxia rather than agaisnt Guardians or Flourished Peony.

Exactly! It just REALLY didn't make a lot of sense because dude was like DON'T take the red. He's like OK. Then shows other guy taking the blue. Then HIM shoving the sand back in the red one.... it was just too loose to make sense even jumping to conclusions.
