I am honestly trying not to form a negative opinion of you all of a sudden based on this interaction. I'm not "white knighting" this show. Your comment has you drawing an unfair conclusion that "a show" (any show) can not depict infanticide without it being "a bad writer's exploitation". You drew a conclusion, somehow, that because I am currently watching this show still (unlike you), that I could not possibly have gone through an infant loss. Again, how you reached this conclusion I have zero idea, nor why you brought my personal life into your personal need to vilify this show.

I will kindly remind you that you were most recently gushing about how much you loved Love & Bid Farewell.... a show that is currently 100x worse than this show. That is not condemnation, I personally loved the show as well, it is simply a statement of fact towards your personal attacks on both myself and this show in particular.

Yeah Iooked it up specifically to see if maybe they translated it wrong but no 😅. They used "Tàihòu" which is definitely Empress "usually" Dowager according to the translation I used.

😅 It's definitely spicier than the other ones out right now but WHY do I have to turn my brain off as a requirement to enjoy it? Like WHY is the Queen Mother/Empress Dowager the SAME age as I assume the FL is? 😅🤡

No, it is not "more common than I think" that a princess has people break in to her cottage and rip her newborn she's just given birth to out of her arms, shoot a poison "insect poison" dart at her mother to kill her, and then throw the baby at the mother from atop a horse so that blood splatters on her face. You're in this thread today tearing thus specific drama apart because for some reason you are having a bad day I guess. Too bad. There are absolutely valid comments to make about the plot, the actors used, the effects, the script, heck EVERYTHING... But honestly belittling a show based on the PREMISE is just asinine. So yes, if there were indeed a scene where "a Villain Drown puppies" okay, good for that show. I would simply wish to know that this scene were in there before I watched it OR that the production was good enough that the foreshadowing signalled that puppies were about to die on screen.

To each their own, you seem to have decided to drop this one based I guess but one single short scene doesn't negate the entire show. Does it deserve a warning, sure, but the scene itself serves to properly provide the needed punch to the gut to make the viewer connect to the FL since Lord knows she's dumb as bricks and refuses to believe anything he says when he says "hey, this wasn't me".

🤣 The clownery of this... to answer though, It's the CP's brother's, the 2nd Prince, who she had been in a secret relationship with BEFORE getting with CP for revenge against 2nd Prince.

if you still wanna watch the show the scene starts at 11:30. basically goes the rest of the episode. Just shows her waking up and talking to her made for like a line or two at the end, skippable

Ep 1 "briefly" mentions something happening that she needs to get revenge for against ML and there's a scene where he mocks her that he hopes she and his brother will "have many children".... So you get a bad feeling but nothing concrete.

Ep 2 though 😭🫂 SHOWS that she has JUST given birth when men storm in, rip the child from her, shoot her mother with a poison arrow who then dies in front of her.... And THEN as the newborn is crying and she's screaming for mercy a guy on a horse holds the infant up in the air and throw him at her on to the ground in front of her... The baby cries stop. She picks the blanket up and it's drenched in blood.

I agree with this comment SOOO much. I have a theory that they originally were only supposed to have 24 episodes and then they were like "there's NO way we can fit this in 24 episodes can we get 30? And they said "No... most I can give you is 2 longer episodes and 2 "extra" episodes to work with". That or they rewrote as they filmed and it caused the end to be too rushed. Maybe they ran out of money also? I mean the CGI and effects at the beginning looked better than those at the end even. 😅 Idk, I sound like I'm ripping the show apart but I DID like it... it just could have been AMAZING instead of really good with a "couple" of tweaks. 🤡

Exactly 😅 He clearly shows emotions and expressions later on in the show but for so much of it I SWEAR the director said "No! Stop! That's too much face movement, be a stone" 😅

Apparently she has gained the ability to teleport since she previously could fly on her ribbons. She lost her memories of him though and got scared when "some random dude who doesn't even talk" starts staring at her and walking towards her so she poofs away like any sane woman would do. Now it's up to him to regain her trust. 🤣🤣🤣🤡🎉🎉🎉
