The ending was the weirdest ever. How did he get there, and when he got there, how did he not get absolutely confused…
i totally agree with you and reading all the comments make me feel less lonely!! I am happy with the happy ending, but i feel it was rushed and I have the exact same questions as you. I would have been funny to see him arriving in the restaurant with his period clothes ahaha. I think they were too lazy to explain + lack of time, but I feel time travel drama are often rushed. I wish we had 20/15 min of King in the future but yeah. I mean, it's always furstrating to see the potential :/ At least not a ktrauma tho aha !
Reading the novel again and again makes me feel so sad... I want to see them again, I wish we could have, if no season 2, a special episode. I know it's not possible but yeah... We were so closed to have the confession scene in the novel I wish they cut after this T-T I miss this drama so much but it hurts to rewatch T-T
Hello, i just finished this drama and I had few questions regarding the ending/last episode, I was confused several…
I was a bit sad that you only get to understand the episode 1 in the last episode. It would have been nice if they had taken more time to solve the different mysteries. My first question is about Ryang-eum: how did he end up in prison, how long do you think he spent in prison, bc the timeline in this drama is really unclear, you never really know how long it had been sometimes. And why would the (new i guess) king protect Ryang-eum? I really didn't understand. Second question: the man at the beginning/end who comes ask question to Ryang-eum, who is he? Thank you for the answers!
Hello, i just finished this drama and I had few questions regarding the ending/last episode, I was confused several times. I put my questions below, under the spoiler tag, thank you!!
I am soooo confused too by the spoilers I saw ?? Why would they kill a main character, it's not logical at all especially when we got a happy ending already ? And special ep is supposed to be positive right?? or amI crazy T-T ? I mean, if they were doing this truly, they need to have a very strong scenario to explain that. My theory (and I hope it's something like that), is that maybe Joke will "die", as other people think he is dead (and maybe he needs to fake dead or something) but he is not really dead. Then we will get our happy ending after a lot of drama (like it makes the happy ending better lol). Joke survived to a freaking bomb and so many things, he can't die like that in a special ep, it makes no sense!! Or then there will be a season 2? Idk, and I really want to know, it's unfair we don't get to watch it, us international fan... :/
I didn't really understand what is coming in February? is a season 2 or a special episode? Why is it not indicated on Mydramalist? I can't find any source ahaha, could someone explain to me? Thank you!
Hello, i watched two episodes of this drama and i just don't quite understand why Hee Ju is using the phone? Is it as a revenge because she thinks Sa Eon doesn't care about her at all? I don't quite understand her goal? Can someone explain to me without spoiling? thank you :)
I wished to express few thoughts here. I loved that series enormously and I understand the frustration of some about the end. But I personally really liked (even tho I cried and now I feel empty and just dream about season 2 tomorrow). I Anyways, I want to talk about KISS and LOVE. I understand that we can expect kiss and more « physical intimacy », I would be the first one to be happy and giggle ahaha, but I would like to say some things. First, love is not all about physical intimacy, and I personally value a lot the building of a strong emotional bond before getting « physical ». I saw some comments here saying that people thinking like this are homophobic bc it means they are uncomfortable and it really surprises me. Being LGBTQ+ is also accepting any form of love, physical or not. And there is not only one LGBTQ+ story, there is multiple. I think it’s good to have LGBTQ stories that tries to go beyond some fan service or cliche. I would also add that a lot of kiss scenes in some BL that I watched are everything but romantic, with no consent or whatever, so I prefer be patient and have the amazing kiss scene I was waiting for ^^ Second, there is many love stories, LGBTQ+ or not, without without kiss. I think of Pride and prejudice by Jane Austen, there is no kiss in the novel and it doesn’t make it less romantic. Also the manga Blue Flag, really well written. Those works gives on the contrary so much value to words, gestures behavior etc. Finally, this drama is adapted from a full novel, which HAS romantic physical scenes/skinship. The drama just didn’t get to that part. We should remember that this drama is an adaptation, we can criticize the way it was adapted but not criticize it for not adapting something that will happen wayyy later in the novel I feel. We should appreciate the efforts of the team to value the pace and respect the original work. It made me eager to read the novel, I started it, and I think it is also a good thing. It pushes people to read the original work. And it’s not a first time an adaption doesn’t adapt everything. If you take shojo manga for instance, like Blue Spring ride, they adapted only the first few books, and there is no kiss. Well, you want to know more then you read, and it doesn’t make the anime version less romantic ! We should feel happy that there is the novel, and support for a season 2 :)
His name is Jeongwon. They work together in episode 1 in case you missed it. Episode 1 is to show that they can…
I can see your point, and I loved their relationship in the first episode because we could see two sides of them, but really I couldn't with the way they're way talking to each other as if they were babies, especially Jong won (and sorry for the name with all the romanisation rules I get lost sometimes)! but it's only my opinion and I still love them ;)
As much as I love Winter Garden couple, I found their interaction so cringy, why does Jung-wan have to talk to gyoeul as if she was a little kid? Why can't we just act the way he acts with his friend with, why not, one few "gentlemen" manner if he wants. But please leave the cute part aside. Their relationship really changed and we only have those too-cute moment between them and we don't see any growth in the relation (whereas for Ik Sun and Jun Wan it was better after they were together I think). We don't see them work together anymore too. And also, even when Jung Wan is speaking to little kid it's disturbing, kids are not stupid and as a doctor he appears very simple-minded.
I know people are sad because of Iksong but I have no worries at all. I think it would have been strange if Song wha answer was yes tbh, because we can see how much she find the situation awkward. I think she might have a bit of "romantic" feeling for Ikjun but she doesn't want to admit it yet. During season 1 we saw the evolution of Ik Jun feelings, in this season I guess we're going to see Song Hwa's change of heart. Actually I'm very glad she refused, even if I'm so sad for Ik Jun. If she's not ready yet, then she's not ready. A force romance to satisfy fan (including me) is not interesting and is unnecessary. We, and Ik Jun, have to let her some time and then she might realise her feelings for him (or not, but I think they'll end up together). And it's better to see Song Hwa feelings change, it will make their couple even more realistic and beautiful. That's what I feel anyway :)
I am SO excited and it's funny to see that I'm not even scared to be disappointed. Maybe it's not a good thing but I don't know, I have so much faith in writer Lee Woo Jung and PD Shin Wo. I watched all Lee Woo Jung drama and I was never, never disappointed. Even reply 1994, my least favorite, is still a drama I liked a lot! Usually if there is season 2 I'm a bit scared but here I'm 100% confident I will love it. One episode par week is hard, but on a good note, that means we gonna spend the all summer with them ;)

Je hak and Jun Wan moment are gold.
