You will definitely not regret it. It's so damn good. This is good too but I feel like almost all the side characters had their story and struggles demised due to 16 epi limit. If you really want to know the background of each character in depth and detail...you should definitely try the chinese one.

To be honest a lot .... demerits of 16 epi maybe or the "Korean " way of making the ML shine and make sml a little small in popularity. Chinese one had given equal story time and screen space to both leads but ...I guess it will not happen here. Maybe flashback ?? I hope so.

True...that is why comparison is not to be made ...it will DEFINITELY leave out many things.... But that is actually to make sure Kdrama audience likes it .

I absolutely loved how they highlighted sanha's panic attack issue starting point. But but but ...I hope they don't neglect the sml ..cuz it's not really just two people drama or just romance...it's a family drama ( a family of 5 people). I also suggest people not to compare the chinese version with this. It was a very big drama(my fav also) but to sum that up in a Korean style 16 epi is hard because not a single epi of that drama was a filler ep. Hopefully people will give this a chance. Anyone starting this drama : DO NOT GO IN FOR JUST ROMANCE!

We all view dramas from our experiences and expectations. Many of them won't be satisfied with this drama cuz may be it's not all romance but more about character development. They are entitled to their opinions. But I absolutely love this show. Even though it's has flaws but I still like it. ( Heck this drama was not even my type of drama).

Also, controversial opinion, but I don't hate Maya at all .
Reason being, she was relatable. If you watch this show for the romance only, then maybe you will hate her (i don't disagree with this.) But as a character, she was good. Highly insecure and underconfident people can relate to her .
First thing, she NEVER manipulated kohei against taichi. She felt kohei was similar to her. She feels she can't belong with them so even kohei can't. She feels people can't handle her disability and will leave her or use her, so even taichi is also doing the same for kohei . She just said how she feels. Even though kohei was better in handling his own insecurity now, he himself felt that he is a burden and issue for taichi . So that misunderstanding was bound to happen and was not entirely Maya's fault. In the ending only, is kohei able to let go of his issues .
Maya is closed off and pity herself a lot to be interested in others. So see never really tried to know taichi n his friends. But don't we all assume bad about someone sometimes without reason.
She never really put taichi down for her personal reasons. It's only the protectiveness for kohei that makes her speak that.
Best thing about her was she always spoke what was in her mind. She was not two faced. If she disliked taichi, she said it to both kohei and taichi's face.

It was the best BL drama FOR ME. I have seen so many dramas and many of the bl dramas with heavy NC scene. But even though it's completely opposite of what I see, I felt myself drawn to this drama. It's an incomplete drama for sure ( bcuz they have to follow manga and they have literally adapted less than half of a long manga). They have still done such an amazing job with it . Love is seen in the eyes of the person is what I feel from this. It is a Bl for me bcuz it was character driven. Their growth is what was important for the plot . Straight dramas have so many shows like this theme with no "romance" but they do good. I wish they would continue this series with another session some time in the future. The simplicity and characters is the main plot for me and I loved it.

Honestly no one can really hate it . It might not be your cup of tea. Let me warn you....it's not romance completely. It's more about friendship, slice of life and character complexity. It's not slow by any means but does have slow romance ( you know that story has a lot of things beyond romance). Chemistry is subjective. Watch a few youtube shorts and figure it out yourself if it's worth you time honestly because for me it has very subtle yet deep bonding chemistry. But I understand if that might not be the case for anyone.

Me too ... I don't really like Maya but we all have some people like her around... Although they don't want but still unconsciously keep pulling their friends down. Then again... It's upto that friend if they want to still keep that person in their life. ATLEAST WE DON'T HAVE A ONE DIMENSIONAL VILLIAN WHO IS JUST OUT TO RUIN PEACEFUL LIVES .

Maya is an insecure person because of her disability. She never got friends who made her feel like she doesn't need to work hard to feel included. Maya saw her insecurity in kohei too and that was also why she bonded but the only difference was that kohei had taichi and he was slowly becoming more confident and happy person. I feel like subconsciously Maya didn't want that to happen. She keeps projecting her insecurity on kohei these past epi not because she wants to pull him down but because she wants to see herself in him. The small emotional details of each character is what makes this show amazing. I can never ever understand anyone who will hate this show ( you can dislike it but not hate it).

Hmm .. I do agree with him being baby faced..... But isn't that the case for real kdrama actors also ... I mean ... Some of them are literally above 30 but still can do high school ler acting without any doubts . Also, modt probably makers have given them less age gap.. because of people that can't bear to see the female character way older than the male ( few people are still having issues with the real age gap ) ... It's the sad reality.

Maybe it's for the good.... Cuz hear me out .... KDrama logic says any character below 25 is basically a teenager with tantrums and unusual childishness....which no one in real life above a basic age of 16-17 shows....hence , they can get a proper character that makes the story better

It was so beautiful of him to be sensitive to kohei's struggles and issues. People with any kind of disease or disorders just want to be heard, seen and included. Taichi is surprisingly observant

This was definitely a good episode to show how kohei's love plus his desperation to blend in has influenced taichi . Taichi will grown as an individual and probably work in an industry that he can support from his heart. Kohei and taichi may be distanced in the next epi ...but mostly it will be for the better. For taichi to understand his own feelings.

I am curious to see Hwang in youp play the ML .... it will be very different from all of his previous characters ( the ones I have seen him in)...as the ML of the story was suffering in silence and responsible kind of men ...we have seen in mostly joly, bratty or carefree roles . I trust him as he is a wonderful actor.

Not romance completely..cuz like someone said the ML was the most pitiful character and if he didn't get FL he would be left alone as the other brother and FL will become step siblings.... So romance is important to make the story ( also reality is that ... without romance .. most family dramas have limited reach ) but the love triangle was not necessary.... hopefully the triangle is removed
