I felt the same way! Episode 3 and 4 were when I became hooked! I almost dropped the drama at first as well, but I decided to give it at least until episode 4!
I personally LOVE the comedy in this drama that helps to balance the more intense/darker aspect of it. Episode 9 was amazing, and to everyone who has yet to give this drama a chance, please do! It is amazing! The actors are doing an amazing job as well! My boyfriend NEVER watches Korean dramas with me, but he ended up giving this one a try and he loves it!

I was actually surprised to see complaints about the drama being a "joke," because I personally really like the comedy moments that they add to the drama. It balances out the darker/more intense side of the drama, and they do it VERY well! The funnier moments come at the right times and are not awkward whatsoever in my opinion. I love how the drama has a bit of everything: comedy, obviously the darker/more intense moments, the slow burn romance, and the law/crime aspect of it!
I don't understand why Japanese dramas are rated so low on average compared to others. I liked many Japanese dramas with ratings in the 7.0's, when I believe they deserve to be in the 8's at least!
Despite some of the plot not making too much sense and characters making poor decisions and having bad communication skills with one another, I still enjoy this drama a lot due to the leads' amazing chemistry! I cannot wait for more episodes and hopefully further clarification on some plot points!

I'm a girl too, but I personally love the female lead just as much as the male leads! I think the female lead keeps increasingly getting better in each episode, although I was a bit annoyed with her in the beginning.
I wasn't interested in trying this drama out at first, but gave it a shot anyways, and I have to say I'm really liking it so far! The acting is amazing! The chemistry between the leads is also great as well, and there were many scenes that made me laugh like an idiot XD So glad I tried it out! It didn't hook me until episode 4, but after that, I could not stop watching!
It's hinting that they are starting to like each other! Their relationship is definitely building up as far as I can see! It's slow, but there! I think we'll get more romance scenes later on!
I love her, but I hope she gets a good script soon! I've attempted most of her dramas and only really liked Bloody Romance sadly. She's very talented though, so hopefully I'll like her upcoming dramas!
You can feel the emotions through the screen. That's what makes their kisses so great.
I was actually scared to watch episode 2 since I read the comments beforehand about how controversial it was! But it turned out, I personally did not have as many issues as some others did with that scene in episode 2. Their love is supposed to be messy, passionate, and somewhat confusing right now. I admit I did feel a little uncomfortable, but I think that scene was supposed to envoke that kind of emotion within us! How I saw it was that Shu Yi did not want to reciprocate at first because he still felt angst, hurt, and confused towards Shi De, but deep in his heart, he still loves him and hence that's why he eventually gave in and kissed him back!
On the plus side you get to gossip with the fan community while you wait :)
Haha yes! I actually didn't even see the first season until this morning. I told myself I'd pace everything, but I literally binged all the episodes within a day! And now I'm stuck here waiting XD
The acting is absolutely PHENOMENAL! Episode 2 was so intense, and made me feel all sorts of ways. I should have waited for the drama to end before watching. Now I have to suffer the wait :'(
