Suprisingly SO GOOD! I came in with no expectations and just wanted a fun romcom, but I ended up loving and rewatching several times! The chemistry is phenomenal!
So sad to think that Wang Yibo and Zhao Xian will probably not star in another drama together again... their chemistry was phenomenal! I miss their friendship & behind the scenes content! I wish that the AO3 inicident never happened, and I wish that China wasn't so stingy with BL content :'( Because The Untamed got so huge and had "subtle/censored" romance and was based on a popular BL, it's very unlikely that Xiao Zhan and Wnag Yibo will be able to star together again 3
So sad to hear of his passing! Miura Haruma was one of my favorite Japanese actors. Rest in Peace! We will always remember you <3 I can't believe he really committed suicide :(
This was SO GOOD! The acting is so amazing!! The chemistry was off the charts between the leads! Definitely a lot better than a lot of Thai BL's that I've seen XD
Personally, Bright's acting never really did it for me. He seems super uncomfortable with this role, and there is absolutely no chemistry between him and Win in the later half of this drama. This could be due to the combination of the poor character writing, the editing, and also their interactions in the drama in general. Bright could not express many emotions in the second half of the drama! I could not feel anything from him. All he was able to portray is the cool, aloof, popular college boy character at the beginning.
Win isn't amazing, but he's definitely a lot better, and I felt his acting connecting more with his character, Tine. I'm looking forward to Win for sure! He seems like the sweetest person! His personality also really shines.
Anyways, this drama started off really good, but episodes 10-13... Idk what happened tbh. I'm so sad and disappointed. Loss of spark between the characters, no more romantic moments once they started dating, lack of acting skills, poor character writing, choppy editing, disappointing ending.... So sad :(
Nevertheless, congratulations for BrightWin and their popularity and for this series' popularity. I don't want to undermind anyone's hard work! Just want to add that hopefully in their next works, we can see some improvement!
Also, now that it's finished, I just want to say that Bright CANNOT act. The director was clever to film the back…
I agree with you 100%! I tried showing my boyfriend this drama just for fun, and the first thing that he said was "The actor who plays Sarawat is really lacking..." XD lmaooo Bright was okay in the beignning where he played the cool and aloof character, but he needed to work on the acting a lot more on the second part of the drama after they started dating.
I'm so sad that this series went downhill, because it had SO much potential. From episodes 10-12, I definitely didn't feel the excitement that I used to feel watching these episodes. Mostly due to the repetitive plot, the lost of the romantic spark between Tine and Sarawat, and the poor character writing in these recent episodes! In episode 12, why is heck is Sarawat so different from his usual self, a few episodes ago? Why did he not tell Pam straightforwardly that he's dating Tine, when just a few episodes ago, he was loud and proud that Tine is his boyfriend? What's up with this sudden change? He's obviously was heads over heels for Tine just moments ago, but he can't tell Pam off and even allowed her to hug him for that long without pushing her away? This is so inconsistent with his normal character/personality! I'm not blaming Bright and Win for their character's lack of chemistry, because they obviously did have good chemistry from episodes 1-9, but the poor character writing is bringing that spark down. There's not much the actors themselves can do with poorly written characters to work with. Where there were opportunities for romantic scenes to happen, the script didn't allow it. In episode 11, there were many places where they could have added scenes to show the romantic bond between Sarawat and Tine, but we see ZERO spark between them until the last 10 minutes of episode 11. Even at the bus scene, they should have had Tine react more to when Sarawat revealed him love for him through the years. The writing has just.... diminished :(
That being said, I still don't regret watching this drama as I truly enjoyed the first 9 episodes. I'll definitely be checking out Win and Bright more after this! Happy for their success nevertheless
I keep hearing so many good things about this show but constantly hesitate because of the episode count and BL…
There's definitely not BL here, just bromance due to the censorship! Though you can still see the deep relationship that goes on between the 2 leads, more than just romance! More like.. soulmates perhaps? But no obvious skinship here or anything, just a very strong relationship
This drama is my favorite drama of all time! The plot, the storyline, the CHARACTERS, the music, and the CHEMISTRY! Ah, I loved every aspect of this drama! Never had I rewatched a drama SO many times! I even went on to read the webtoon, audio drama, and the whole novel! The wonderful chemistry between Lan Zhan and Wei Ying is one that I rarely see in Wuxia dramas nowadays, and I appreciated every bit of it!
After watching 2gether the series, I appreciate Mew and Gulf's exploding chemistry even more XD (no hate for Sarawat x Tine, but their chemistry has been lacking in the latest episodes... so sad) :(
I'm so sad that I don't like this series as much anymore :'( It had so much potential! The spark between Tine and Sarawat is slowly fading. I feel like they aren't even the same characters as they were in the first half of this drama. After Sarawat's love confession for Tine in the bus scene, all Tine did was nodded and smiled... I expected more of an reaction from that. I mean, shouldn't he be really touched to find out that his boyfriend had loved him for that long and was trying to find every way to be with him? I don't know, they act more like bros than lovers for sure.
Again, the lack of intimate scenes/kisses don't really matter to me, but they aren't even doing the most basic couple things like holding hands. Bright and Win have really good chemistry in real life. We obviously see their good chemistry in the earlier episodes (especially during the couch scene), but I think the writing is to blame here :( I'm sure the actors can show more chemistry with better written characters.
The Untamed, one of my favorite dramas btw, is classified as a "Bromance" officially, but I see SO MUCH MORE chemistry between Lan Zhan and Wei Ying even with the BL censorship. So obviously chemistry can be shown even without intimate scenes.
Rest in Peace! We will always remember you <3 I can't believe he really committed suicide :(
I’m SO EXICTED!!! Their chemistry is off the charts!!! And their acting is amazing. I’m sooooo excited!

The scene in the bus saved this episode XD
