Filipino BLs are really milking the covid struggles when it comes to love... AND I AM TOTALLY HERE FOR IT!! Some do it better than others, but it's a fact that it's our current reality so i like them to explore it. My rates when it comes to Covid related: Gameboys kings of F you Covid Boys Lockdown was top cutennes Hello stranger, Quaranthings and Ben X Jim were so so Better days was a let down Have a few to watch, drop a recomedation if you have one :)
All theories are gone now hahahahaI loved this episode. I know people are going to point fingers at only one characther,…
Totally agree with both of you. Maybe for some is easier to relate to Oh but, Teh has it hard as well, from season 1 he gave everything selflessly to Oh, that's how cool and caring he is but wasn't as valued by some, and then while Oh already had years to understand his sexuality and be aware, share... All came like a Tsunami to Teh, he procesed it quite well considering everything. Then again now, his fears are normal, he just saw Teh change constantly and already having decisions made withouth him even knowing that he was considering those things, he feels like they are growing apart and is fearful. And let's also point that his family isn't well off, he is fearful of not making it as an actor as well, and not having a way to be happy and fulfill his dreams. All of that is normal, he has flaws and fears same as Oh. Sometimes one is in the wrong and sometimes the other, but what it's important is that they need to learn how to comunicate better and mature, be more solid as a couple. They are human.
oh god i would not have the guts to go to someone my company was partnering with (who i don't know outside of…
Indeed, a very unrealistic and dramaland plot, i was strugling the entire time and throw me off.
On the contraty, the MAN on your profile pic, he truly did a good job portrying a working office character, and was great dealing with personal issues even when they crossed lines with work people. Get you a Kurosawa.
I see a lot of people thinking that Teh is wrong and Oh is right, same as in season 1. I wanna throw a few thoughts that i had while watching ep 2, because i don't feel that way, i think that both have valid fears and struggles and they just happen to be on different sides of the coin. Sometimes Teh makes mistakes and so do Oh. Mistakes that we all have commited sometimes. 1. Teh is watching Oh change a ton and do things that feel foreigner for the person that he knows. That's not bad per se, but i can understand the fear of watching that and in a weird time and age when they are indeed changing and becoming adults, it can be frightening, and you may think that maybe, if their likes, loves and dreams are changing, they can change the way they feel about you. Same as when Oh saw Teh being so into acting and he wasn't, he felt isolated and was in fear of how Teh was going forward in a different direction, he was having his own different fears. It's their fragility at the moment. 2. When they fought, it was a very bad timing for Teh, his emotios were all over the place and was in the wrong to say what he said. But that's human, we are flawed and it's common to not be level headed at some moments and say thing that we don't mean, specially as teens. What i value is the fact that he knows how to explain what he did wrong, how he feels and ask for forgiveness honestly. 3. I feel like Teh would have loved if Oh shared his confusion, his struggles with the degree or the tatoo and stuff like that before having it all decided by himself. Of course is his decision and his life, but as the person that he is, i sense that he would have loved to be able to be there for Oh and share, communicate... Lean on him. 4. Even if it's a bit petty, we have to value that Teh has given Oh his love and help in many ways since childhood, he understood and helped with acting, the uni admissions, studying... since childhood, he is a giving kind of person, not that it's right or wrong, but as humans, even if we love the other person the most, sometimes specially when you are hurting and struggling like Teh was this ep, at some irrational moment you can think about that and feel that it became dust. He knows that it's valuable and wouldn't have done it differently, that's his heart and the person that he is, but the fears and struggles can overpower your rationality at some moments and say things that you don't truly mean or things that you don't really feel. You can feel a bit betrayed and hurt at a low moment but later on when you are cold down see the important stuff. 5. Let's also point that his family isn't well off, he is fearful of not making it as an actor as well, and not having a way to be happy and fulfill his dreams. That's why he reacted that way with his friend decision.
At the end, i think that his character is real and amazing, super caring and a helper, will do anything for Oh, he overcomes things and is a fighter, loved how he realized his sexuality and in a short time, because unlike Oh, he didn't have years to process it came like a Tsunami, some people know later than others, he overpowered the fears and look how open and proud he is now... he is just human. If Oh wanted the moon, he will get it for him, quite sure about that. Now, i could totally do a contra point with Oh vision and struggles, because they are both human and real, like i said just different sides of the coin in multiple issues, their upbringings, their struggles, their discover of their sexualities... but at the end, two lovable characters that are totally human and well built. Keep it coming Nadao, let's overcome everything and solidify their love and maturity.
They are cute, hot and all, but the romance is nowhere to be found yet. IK we had barely 4 episodes but i seek more love interest, more moments between them. The sponsor issue took way too long and some conflicts are just... Still, i have hopes for the future, let's see.
Go away. Stop watching BLs. Go watch some shows where everyone behaves in perfect, politically correct ways and…
Excuse me but who are you to tell others to go away or what they should do? Stop being a nonsensical immature one, and let everyone have our own points of view. The world doesn't revolve around you and how you think, i don't expect everyone to think alike and like the same things, maybe you should learn to do that because this is a place where everyone has the right to be and share our on perspectives, welcome to the internet. I dislike those 2 narratives and i'm quite entitled to think whatever i feel like it and share it. You will see mee and others who think this way again on here, so you better move on and stop being oversensitive.
Its not incest..they are not related by blood, step siblings by their parents marriage..
Indeed, i'm with you. i couldn't be ok with it in real life, but fiction is fiction so i don't mind, i see it as art and art is there to explore. I saw weirder (like a dude falling in love with a male goat and having sex with male prostitutes dressed as one, and i laughed till crying) so i'm on board, with me curiosity overpowers morals when it comes to fiction. Agree about that ending, it was what it's supposed to be right and at the end you could see that it was just a young crush, her love with the new guy was deeper, cannot say the same about the brother and the girl, maybe because i didn't connect that much or saw the sparks between them.
Love the series, and hope they use the shippers plot to call out all the toxic fans but omg... in general I'm so over this type of shipper characters and fake girlfriends in bl... please let's build a healthier place for everyone, this is making me feel like the frigid, act like a 5yo passive and submissive japanese FL on doramas, is toxic and painful.
Its not incest..they are not related by blood, step siblings by their parents marriage..
It's weird because you create a family bond sure. But i mean, related by blood is the worst, i saw a documentary about cousins having kids together and 1/4 of chances are that they will have kids that have all kind of issues, brain disabilities, loosing their sight and hearing... like damn, imagine between brothers, maybe 1/2... terrible.
Is this a happy or sad ending? (Spoiler tag please). ...I watched 1/4 into the story and I’m scared to watch…
Bitersweet, you know, ALS doesn't have a cure.
-------------- Bigger spoiler!!! i'll tell you the exact ending, if you don't want to hear it, do not keep reading and enjoy the movie :) --------------
Totally sure?? ok...
It ends with her already at the hospital, graduating but you can see she is loosing her movility already. It's bitersweet because it ends there, open to say "who knows what will happen in the future", even tho we know that still to this day it has no cure yet. They are still a couple at the end. ^^
So first the movie and later on the 2 season. Interesting, usually is the other way around. Make sense tho, this movie will be about them needing to let go and be apart so... i expect an open ending.
Seo In Guk has been my favorite korean actor since Hello Monster (psychological drama, masterpiece guys), so i totally jump to anything he does with eyes closed, and i am always impressed. The kings face (historical), Replay 97 (romance), 38 task force (action), The Smile that left your eyes (deep slice of life melodramatic), Shopping king Louie (comedy)... And now a fantasy melodrama? He totally can do it all, and let's not start with his singing and composing skills, TOTAL PACKAGE.
Weren't Ou Wen and Mark supposed to have that dinner with Ou Wen's boss in episode 9? I thought they were but…
Me neither, but sometimes they put on the preview things that happen 2 eps later so... maybe 10? Sad that ep 9 had 0 interactions again, looks like 10 should be a key moment of realizations, but ley's see.
I miss Pchy on the screen...after aII these years :(
Same, did you saw him in Club Friday The Series Season 5: Secret of a Heart That Doesn't Exist? Came in 2015! The thing is that... is a not so good series, but at least he was in it.
Japan got his shit together after 2018, they are doing great things. This movie is needed, specially there, is a discourse, is an LGBTQ+ empowerment.
I just felt that i would have appreciated a bit more about their life together from the mid teens after the short series, till he leaves him to have an heterosexual marriage. It would have added a bit more deepness and layers. You can also watch this skipping the series, is not needed to understand the movie, but you would be missing out big time.
Still, this movie is real, important, their story is quite like the weather there, the gloomy sky but calmly breeze, not too hot, not too warm, just right.
