I have seen a couple of editions of the movie and drama, and I have to say, the Creation of the Gods 1: Kingdom…
maybe because i don't need to rely on subs and so my 1st watch, 2nd, 3rd, 4th watch... still kept me captivated to the end of the movie run of 2.5 hours long. Such production doesn't come often! The only minor complaint i have is the not-so-comprehensible words breathing out of Ji Chang's!

Li Yun Rui played E Shun. Unlike Ji Fa, Yin Jiao and Chong Ying Biao who have removed their helmets once or twice, I don't remember seeing E Shun without the helmet. Even if he did, I think he has very little screentime.

Because he practiced the Burial Snow Heart Sutra, he retains youthfulness and grew younger each time he made a breakthrough every 4 years. And if he were to breakthrough at the last level of the sutra, his body and memories will be renewed totally.
Due to the death of his lifetime partner and friend XGZ, XTZ abolished the sutra and do not want to pursue the last level of sutra. He doesn't want to lose his memories with XGZ. So, he's reverted back to his old self due to the loss of youthful restoration.
