Watch the Prequel of LYF:https://kisskh.at/19768-a-life-time-loveLove Me Seven Times is another one to watch.
actually, first it was HL, and then LYF... Now both contemporary and xianxia/wuxia must be really good before my interest level can kickstart again. Now waiting for a good suspenseful k thriller...
as a matter of fact, it's not exactly Season 1 and 2 or Part 1 and 2. Basically, this live adaptation was shot from beginning to the end. But because of some stupid C rules & regulations, the drama must be split into two "seasons".
Some viewers like me who have read the novel are still ok with the split because we already know the endgame. Whether or not the live drama aligns tightly to the novel or deviate from it, we will only know when S2 starts airing. Hopefully the drama screenwriter is not sadistically cruel to be wanton to see us viewers suffer...
sharks! I was still thniking this afternoon that "oh, it's just an hour more before the new ep is up!" But I've caught all 39 eps last night!!! What am i to do now?! Nothing to look forward to in the evenings...
May be no one here would believe me when I say that i don't have the courage to watch the last few episodes knowing…
why not? Season 1 finale is not the end of the world or story. It's only a milestone earmarking an achievement that took years of strategic moves and hard work.
The live adaptation isn't different from the novel. It's just not the usual 1FL to 1ML kind of drama. If one were…
i see what you mean and understand your feeling. I do feel shortchanged.
Perhaps they did show many stuff but somehow most stuff got edited out. One scene in #32 timeline took nearly one full page of words, but got role out within 1 minute!
I heard this drama is already finished but I'm still stuck at ep 26. As someone who hasn't read the novel, I guess…

If one were to enter the drama with one-track mind hoping for lots and lots of passionate romance, then he/she will be very disappointed. But it's not a slow burner either. Viewers with open mindedness will feel the love growing in each and everyone of the 1+3.5 leads...
Surprised you didn't see CX foresight and analytical & mind handling capabilities, XY insight/advice and subtle involvement in his pursuit to his crowning, her medical aide in detoxifying his drug addiction, Fenglong's sideline support and secret aide in forming a CX army and Jing's business strategic & cashflow funding aide, etc....
