hi Eli, actually FL kinda suspect they are not real siblings already. Contrary to what you described, this drama isn't flooded with many kissing or intimate scene in every episode... It's nothing compared to The Eternal Love series. Cheers!
Sure glad i didn't invest much time on this! While it's too lengthy for an action drama, episode #43 is such a letdown and the last 5 minute was quite ridiculous. CCTV control room left empty?
maybe it's just me finding it so, but ML seems to have put on much weight by the end of the series. In the beginning, he looks suave, lean and mean at his first appearance. But by #43, his face looks puffy and body not so lean... Somehow, Damon Guo looks much better...
i'm glad i didn't watch this drama when it was first aired. I would have dieded from anxiousness and drowning in the leads' sorrow and frustration while waiting for next episode!
had to say this was a great drama well written but till eps 23 ruined and spoiled a lot...
TBH, i couldn't bear to watch anymore the moment Anna run into the office lobby in #21. Skimped and FFWD to #24. Hate to see Jiaxin suffers at Anna's evil hands. Surprising that her presence is still welcome in wedding finale.

the main character in all EL1,2,3 is the real estate agent Qu Xiao Tan. But you'll hear her being called Tan'er instead of Xiao Tan cos XiaoTan's soul/spirit dwells in the body of Tan'er of Dongyue.
one thing left me puzzled. Can someone clear this?
In EL1, Tan'er aka Xiaotan gave brith to Yu'er and entrusted him to her personal maid Jingxin. In EL2, Tan'er also gave birth to baby boy and they named him Yu'er. In EL3, Tan'er always mentioned about missing their baby Yu'er, but i don't think that she ever did that in EL2. Why is that?
To those contemplating on watching or skip EL1 before watching EL2...
EL1 is worth time spent and quite fun to watch. Skipping EL1 will leave you some questions when EL2 made references on certain things and also flash back scenes from EL1. You'll understand EL2 better if you watch EL1 first.
Although EL2 is also about Crown Prince fighting for throne and Tan'er, its story unfolds differently and with interesting sub plots. Also, the bonus is that unlike open ending EL1, EL2 closes with a very clear cut happy finale with no cliffhanger or open enders.
I suppose that our Lian Cheng (from season 1) will change his face and become "Liu Shang", so there wouldn't be…
Mo LianCheng and Qu XiaoTan/Tan'er in S1 finale went through time warp landing in modern world. So, S2 begins with Xiaotan/ Tan'er returning to her old self, modern day realty agent Qu Xiao Tan.
When Modern LianCheng (Prince 8) and XiaoTan jumped off cliff landing back in ancient times, Modern LianCheng is still the same old Mo LianCheng but still has memories of his life in the past and modern days. In order to stay close to Tan'er (reincarnated with XiaoTan), he put on mask and became strategist Liu Shang to work for Prince 8.
XiaoTan lost all memories of her past experience as Tan'er and has even forgotten of her ever meeting Mo Lian Cheng in modern world.
There's no love triangle. XiaoTan loves the one and only LianCheng.
As for merging into one, it won't happen until past #25 ^__^
Though not that popular, FL's visual is still likeable, but the ML visual in epi#1 looks more like those ugly unscrupulous badass. This one is more for passing time only..
Gosh! What happened! Even though the drama was full of distorted scenes and disconnection, up to #21, it still hold my interest to plough on... But the ridiculous escape stunt in #21, the assassins at the beach in #22... Other than Jiang Qingliu, the rest of the cast did their part quite well. If this drama was filmed with better directing and scriptwriting, it wouldn't go downhill...
