hell! The suspense is killing! One suspect written off. I feel that Jo-I could be the wife's bestie.

Everyone else, other than the person himself, can see his incompetence and weaknesses! Very frust watching his face every time he comes onscreen.

Actually, there are many more to rant about this drama.... My very last one is there's no clear mention of FL surviving her cliff fall.
So I guess we can safely assume, like in all cdramas:
- there's no fatality in cliff-dropping - EVERYONE survives!
- BUT ironically, whoever drops from a fortress wall will result in 100% death!

All they show is an anxious maid shouting to her Queen "Wang hou niang niang, màn diǎn!" ... and a happy couple running down the streets hand-in-hand and his departing words "Are you willing?"

The other complaint would be the heavy casualty!!!
1. Yunqing's little brother Yunshuo
2. Yunqing's loyal butler Liu Shu
3. Jing Heng's loyal guard Wei Zhang
4. Yue Chi's loyal guard Dugu Xing
5. Emperor's general grandfather
6. General Du's aide Xiao Heng
7. Li Qing Yun's bodyguard Ying

Surprised that i walkthrough the whole 24 eps and even diligently rewatched it a second time for editing purpose! It wasn't a fantastic story but somehow felt quite drawn to the two smiley male leads and innocent looking Yue Ling Er and Empress Dowager Du San Niang and the comical sidekicks Gui Gong Gong, Wang Gong Gong and emperor's bodyguard Wei Zhang.

To watch this drama, one has to bear the irritating loud and inappropriate BGM. There were times when the BGM went extremely loud to the extent of overwhelming the ongoing conversation!!!

Was it shown ML's parents died-ed already? Thought they are only held captive so as to force ML to produce the Wulin token.

BTW has Julian Cheng's character died-ed already or is he only missing in action?

Ep. 18 - gosh! The way they wrote the scene with the two brothers turning against ML! So drama!

Don't really understand what the screenwriter tried to convey with the last five minutes showing the ex-husband alive and getting up while the FL disintegrated in the end...

Anyway, this will be on my list of forgettables!

LOL it took me about a year to finish this miniseries! Believe this is one drama with the most mouth-splurging-blood scenes! Before this, the title was held by Cheng Yi in the "Love and Redemption". Glad it's now taken over by this cast!

The ML here played the cheerful little brother of Lu Chi in "Better Halves". I didn't know it was him until i looked up his profile. Looked so different! And he's still looking different in the currently aired miniseries - "The Crime Unit of Tang Dynasty"!

the opening scene reminds me of the martial master and one other animation...

Pengyoumen, please help me here. Don't quite understand the above synopsis. Is this a transmigration story where ML enters wuxia novel? Or is the synopsis referring to the ML's local martial arts story book?

Watched this for CL, but totally lost interest halfway... Song Yi is not suitable for the general role. She's one general who can't fight with the general spear. Even the way she aimed at the enemy with the bow and arrow during a life-to-death fight was like child's play. The other turnoff is her voice!
Lastly, it's the way how FL and Luxin treated Jin An before and after. Was happy to see the mighty Prince Annan self, but he had to revert back to an obedient selfless husband at the end...
Somehow, the screenwriters liked to portray the two leading men as helpless and selfless souls in love at the beck and call of their beloveds.
