this is one of the very few cdramas i came across with a happily ever after ending, unlike other cdramas that first ended badly or with cliffhanger, and then compensated views with makeup finale!!!
Guess this being his 2nd project, and 1st main ML, Ye ShengJia is still a newbie and has lots of room for improvement. Since ShengJia is tall & good looking, he can soar high if he improves on his acting skills.
This cdrama is basically saved by FL Yang ZhiWen, a child actor since aged 7 with 11 support roles on record. Though it's her very 1st main FL role, her facial and eye expressions helps liven up the stiffleness from her opposite lead.

yea, i know. I do understand the root cause for her change and determination to get rid of him... Just that the anticipation of an unhappy ending ahead of us, the thought of him coming to a bitter end after starting to live like a human being and falling for a woman like normal people, his being off guards against XW & treating him as a confidante... He has no second chance at life...

This drama kicked off interestingly well but somehow lost interest after 9th and stopped chasing it... Initially watched it because of ML, 2nd FL and the kiddo, but the sole heroic stunt to provide/expose real time crime/story just diminished all interests...

Glad you finished TLBH. I didn't say GL is bad. My comment was TLBH ML Alen Fang's acting is much better than GL ML Caesar Wu. My personal preference amongst all period cdramas, TLBH is my most fav followed by General's Lady :) Let me know your thoughts please after you finish General's Lady.
