In an interview Zhu Yilong said that "his character was ill from beggining to the end and he had to portray that"…
Wow, the interview was done 16 mths ago. Why ZYL spoke so softly - could barely catch what he's saying. RM's voice was audible and crystal clear!

In the intro we see Wu Xie get his neck cut, fall, and then he's lying on the sand. I have yet to watch the episodes…
wanted to read the novel in MereBear blog for better understanding of DMBJ but was informed that the translation is on episodes in Sands Sea drama...

hmmm, i hvn't caught up on TOTS yet. Well, guess sometimes some scenes just popped up skimming through without depth that we get confused all over again, trying to understand what the director or scriptwriter is dumping on us viewers...

well, this scar between neck and left shoulder reappears in ep 25/26 when Wu Xie looked at it in the mirror with deep thoughts...

Somehow, after all the hype in 1st half, the drama goes anti climax & quiet down, splitting them into groups but without much happening except in 11 Warehouse. Group 1 Voiceless girl (can't call her dumb/mute) on her treatment journey with Brother. Group 2 with Er Xu & troop going underground but not shown, talked only. Group 3 Pang Zi & girlfriend; and lastly Group 4 Wu Xie & XiaoBai in 11 warehouse... Guess by the rate this season is moving along, its Finale will probably end with WX finally getting promoted to highest Level and get to unveil the secret person or Wu SanXing... And by that time, we have to wait again for season 2 before we can finally get to see them all reunited and in Thunder City!!!

I am afraid that we won't see them together until season 2. Really 66 episode are not enough for this triangle,…
Excuse me for my ignorance please. What do you mean by that - semi official?

Honestly speaking I just think it's her character. Piao Piao is kind of stupid...
No, i disagree with that. We will know whether the role in the script is meant to be a stupid one or not. Her acting was outright terrible -couldn't even act the simple part of a hairstylist scrubbing/washing hair/scalp while PZ showed he felt so good after the wash!

Even if PP role is meant to be stupid/naive, her stiff acting certainly didn't act that way

OMG, think the little girl portrayal as Piao Piao's daughter Xiaomei is so much better than PP. Dreaded watching PP in every of her scene - she can't act at all, not even the part where she's supposed to wash hair. It's so horrific watching her!!! I can't wait for WX & PZ to leave this town!

You can watch it as a stand alone. The plot is ten years later. So what happened before doesn’t really matter…
yeah, i don't chase historical dramas in anticipation of sad ending too. I'm clueless about Korean history, so was saddened by Mr Sunshine ending with BHLee martyrish death :( and The Man Standing Next.

Title Thorn
Kept going back and forth to unfold the past to explain the present estranged relationship between HXT & LT. Format is just like Missing Persons, but too slowly. Lost total interest & patience after Episode 6. Revisit today 13Aug for finale, and voila! just by watching that alone can roughly know what happened in the past that led to XT tumultous present. Don't need to sit through the draggy episodes 7 to 16, at least not for me!

The cast were good in their individual roles, especially Elvis Han as Wu Xin. Storyline kicked off quite well with some interesting cases. But somehow the plot gets too draggy and boring from Liu Mansion thereon. Lost total interest midway and skipped to finale...

yes, i do agree with your comment on "could be sometimes confusing". For instance, the Mystic Nine director skipped or rushed through the storyline on some scenes, like the part the villagers thank ZDFY for killing some ferocious monster in the cave. They don't act out the scene but just talked about it!!! Think LTR has its flaws too but since it's only entertainment we are seeking, we just need watch the lead actors act out their role as best as they can :)

Yes, LTR cast is much matured and refine in portrayal of their roles, esp Wu Xie and Kylin. Thanks for the tip to catch TLT1 to understand its beginnings. Good thing it's short. As for TLT2, i went straight to Finale which seems to be uninteresting and didn't excite me at all to want to continue with ep1, though its trailer showed all the special effects, monsters etc. Can't remember if it's you or someone else who mentioned TLT2 only starts to get interesting from midway. So, i'll skip TLT2 totally.

So far, after watching 14 episodes of LTR, my preference is the cast in LTR :)
