hi AH, thanks for refreshing my memory of what i've read. This is the only live adaptation that made me read a novel. Excuse me for this, but i can't help it whenever i see a double barreled compound family name being split into two.
Tushan is not a given name of a full name. Like all the others - Fangfeng, Chishui, Chenrong, Haoling, Nangong, Xiyan, Xiling, Murong, Shangguan, Simen, Situ, etc - Tushan is a family name and must be written together to form a complete surname. Cheers! ;o)
Actually, who is 1st FL and 2FL??? Is Ling'er 1FL? Or is it Lin Yue Ru? I mean, LYR has so much screentime with ML... And his memory on the island is still blocked out. I don't like both 1FL and 2FL characters, but i'd surely loathe to see him with 2FL!

if you're referring to Deng Wei, i doubt he's axed off in S2. Based on the novel, TSJ probably goes out of action for a few episodes. Unless the storyline deviates totally from novel... but no way.... no.....

As for plot wise, you mustn't miss this period drama. IMO this is one of the best production with excitement, sweet romance and emotional scenes. Besides good acting from Yang Zi and the 4 male leads, the child actors and supporting cast were great too.
Believe the most touching scene in S1 is in Ep.15. I've rewatched this series umpteen times, but i still get teary and need to blow nose while watching the 1st 15 min of Ep.15
Does anyone even survive this other then them two though with a weird ending?
sorry, no idea. Had this on hold after ep.24. After taking a peek at finale, i won't even bother to resume watching the remaining 16 episodes. Don't have & will never ever pin any hope on AR's production.

Took a peek into #24 and was confused by the 1st 10 min,.. Anyway, i'll probably dive into it later since it has a HE after all that !!!
