Hi xX. No need to be cautious in your writing. It's always nice to read an article on here. BTW, if Fated to Love You was your first Jang Hyuk drama, say no more. I dropped that drama in a flash and I'm a huge Jang Hyuk fan from his past works. In Money Flower, the slow dialogue, music and slow motion is a bit too much for me at times but I still enjoy and come back to the series each week.

that's cool. that's your opinion. 10 years of kdrama land is enough for me to feel this way about the drama. mind you, I just watched zhen huan zhuan and now all kdramas pale in comparison.

I am loving this drama!! I don't understand why people say they hate the female lead xD she doesn't even have…
She has a crap character though. I don’t know the actress but she is not a very good one and neither are the guys. I saw the main lead in all his dramas and he acts the same in all of them. The younger actors in the show are pretty bad at acting. And the characters are pretty dumb. The veteran actors are like super glue there to hold the crap script together.

I want to watch this but am so hesitant because of the length. Shorter length is one of the main reasons why I…
It’s steady. I loved it - mostly for the respect the writer offers women. They could have gotten rid of the men from the show and I would still be satisfied. I was willing to go along for the ride and was rewarded.

I cannot find the words to explain how horrible the female characters were written in to this story. It's an adaptation of a Chinese opera. They could have done a lot better job with the women's roles.

Rape is not okay, but I can see the story from the perspective of the society. Promiscuity from women seems to be seriously frowned upon ( I often hear "don't you know women and men are different" in these dramas) so I can see the argument for wanting the girl to still appear innocent or not having any sexual appetite. At the same time, I think it's so much more than that. It appears that there is little forward movement in liberating women from the extreme power dynamics of a male dominated society and masculine ideals. It's the king and the army that rule.

Pleas say the plot is identical to the Canadian one. It's a Canadian script. Proud to say I have a friend who studied with the lead actress. She did such an excellent job.

I think I've been waiting for an article like this all my life. My favourite has got to be "Manhole: Feel So Good" - kinda like "Suckseed". It just gives you the wrong impression. Couldn't stop laughing when someone on Disqus pointed out the whole title. I had been reading "Manhole" and ignoring the drama because the poster looked really stupid. I had to take a stab it once I read the entire title but that didn't last for more than 5 minutes. The title, however, is forever etched in my memory.
