Cute, but... I felt sorry for Yang Yang. Zheng Shuang must have gone to the Park shin Hye school of kissing. Both…
Exactly! I felt the same by watching this, but given this is my very first c-drama I don't know whether fish-kissing is the norm for c-drama? Zheng Shuang's acting really doesn't do Wei Wei justice. The Wei Wei in the novel is so opposite from this drama, she is more spunky, charming, and badass. I feel like ZS's portrayal of her character is very lacking when compared to Yang Yang. Yang Yang did a really good job, but with ZS, I felt a disconnect with her character. I can't really see Wei Wei in her at all....I wished they had a different actress! Also ZS's figure is so stick skinny, the Wei Wei in the novel is supposed to be voluptuous and beautiful - which I don't see in ZS.
To be honest, I think it's unfair to compare her to Park Shin Hye. PSH if given the chance would have done justice to Wei Wei's character. I imagined Wei Wei's character to be similar along the lines to spunky In-Ha (PSH's character in Pinocchio) and Hye Jung (PSH's character in Doctors). As per these two dramas, the girl's proven she can actually kiss now lol...anyway since this is a Chinese drama, perhaps a Chinese actress who can convey Wei Wei better. That's my only gripe with the drama. Wei Wei and Xiao Nai as a drama couple is very refreshing! No cliché drama tropes with these two.
I wonder if anyone is mesmerised by Yang Yang's in game character? I keep being blown away by how beautifully handsome he is as the Great Master in the game ❤_❤ actually the in-game parts of the drama is very beautiful and CGI is pretty awesome! I actually I miss it a lot by second half of the drama since that's when they focus on real life more than game.
Okay...so before I was understanding of Hye Ji's character because I thought she's actually a nice girl...but now after seeing that ending in episode 9, I no longer support her. I wanna slap her for using Ji Woon like that - you don't mess with other people's feelings!! Like seriously...what kind of friend is she? She clearly saw that Ji Woon and Ha Won have a thing for each other and now she wants to take him too? I actually hate her character now, she's becoming way too selfish and attention seeking...gave her character too many chances, that girl needs to redeem herself!
So during the last few episodes I wondered, how closely it follows the novel. When they finally did 'it', the…
Ah that's interesting...I haven't watched this drama yet but I just came from finishing the novel. In the novel, they actually "did it" a month before the wedding. Actually final chapter didnt even have their wedding at all, it ended with a flashback from Xiao Nai's point of view from when he first saw and fell in love with Wei Wei. In the novel they were engaged and it was a month before their wedding date.... they've been really careful to resist temptation before wedding but gave in at the end and did it. Wei Wei said that she didn't regret it. You can read the last chapter here http://bookbychapters.com/a-slight-smile-is-very-charming-part-48/
I thought the story was pretty cute. As to answer your question above....seems like they did it in that order for television to follow broadcast regulations since China is a conservative country.
Wahoo! Just finished reading the translated novel... it's cute story but doesn't quite make me get the hype. Now time to watch this drama and see for myself why everyone loves it so much. My first c-drama ever...here we go! :D
I just read that the ending of "Love in the Moonlight" (the webnovel) was a happy ending. The crown…
Ahh usually I hate learning about spoilers from the manghwa but really?! Where did you read it from?? If it's true then yay!! I was worried this would end as an open ended drama that's not satisfying. So happy now :)
I don't know if I should watch episode 15 today or wait till next week, In one hand I reeeealllly really want…
Episode 15 has a lot of unpredictable turns...and that preview for episode 16 made me wish I should've waited until next week. Now I'm gonna lose sleep thinking of what would happen next. Maybe wait until next week (AVOID SPOILERS at all cost) for finale episode to air then watch both together :)
I'm actually so disappointment this didn't reach 20% in the ratings, I was sure it would, sometimes I don't know…
I know right, every episode has so many twists and unpredictable turns that I've become used to it now. These days I just feel numb to W so I'm no longer as shocked as I've been before...but each episode is still very good! I'm seriously anticipating the finale!!
