Wow interesting insight, that kind of explains why my love for Asian dramas started out with japanese dramas and anime/mangas. I watched a few then branched into korean dramas. Nowadays I'm primarily a K-drama watcher but it was Japanese dramas and mangas that were my introduction into Asian dramas/entertainment.

@kkrazy99 same here....I'm scared that SBS might cut this drama short due to low ratings. So far I'm loving it and I also absolutely love Moonlight too. I hate it that these two dramas have to compete with each other in the same time slot, it's so unfair!! Man, I really hope one day LJK gets a hit drama soon. He reallt deserves it!!!

I feel the same as you chingu, I don't know whether it's my bias for LJK but I ALWAYS have second syndrome in every drama I watch
That is until Moonlight and Scarlet Heart came along. in a typical drama, Wook would be the lead with all the heart fluttering moments with Hae Soo. Wang So here feels like a second lead in every aspect (you know how second lead usually has a breaking past and most likely needs the love a lot more than first lead). Second lead is the one suffering more. For example, in Sassy Go Go, Ji Soo's character was the second lead with a sad past (the same goes for School 2015 with Sung Jae's character). Anyway my point is, at the moment my heart goes out for Wang So....and the only person that understands him well is Hae Soo, I guess I'm rooting for the "second lead" here and I'm so very glad that this "second lead" in my head will end up getting the girl in the end.

Just finished this. This is definitely a very cute refreshing romance drama, it really is a breeze and a nice break from usual K-drama tropes. Loved it 9/10

I haven't even had time to catch up with the latest two episodes...darn busy life!! But I can't help reading spoilers and watching certain scenes. Hahahaha I love the CP, he's such a troll xD

I accidentally got spoiled with the web novel ending too. All I can say is, don't worry it will be a happy ending for sure :) that is if they strictly follow the web novel then it'll end happily. But I doubt they will follow history because this was meant to be adaptation of the novel.

That mask reveal, I don't know why everyone in the drama treats it like it's the most horrific thing they've seen....but he's bloody handsome even with the scar!! Well it's Lee Jun Ki were talking about hehe. Anyway I wish the drama would show more Hae Soo and Wang So moments, because right now LJK just feels like a second lead or side character and he's supposed to be lead!

True, this scene has so much feels! The acting is incredible and you can feel what the characters are feeling. I agree, it is very satisfying :) kind of reminds me of Mirror of the Witch, where even though there are no kiss scenes at all, the slight touch and eye contact conveys so much feelings. Acting plays an important part!

I know, that's why I said if the leads are older it might be possible...like the kiss scene from Gu Family Book between Lee Seung Gi and Suzy for example.

I suspect this too. I think that scene confirms it for him but I have a feeling he knew (or rather suspected) way early on after the dance, hence why he wanted to look for Ra On. Knowing the Prince's personality, there's no way he'd let the woman that captivated him get away.

Is anyone disappointed on the research aspect of this drama? What SooHyun is doing is so unethical on many levels. I hope people don't think that this is how research is conducted in real life. In real life, you need proper consent (not how SH deceives the lead girl), you need proper trials, sample size, etc. There are regulations when working with human subjects so that they're not abused and mistreated for the sake of an experiment. I don't know but this drama turns me off because of this, so I can't watch the romance at all.
