I actually don't understand that ending. Why are they on the rooftop all of the sudden along with a murdered???…
You saw it correctly. It was not a dream. At some point after his trial they all had a painting party at Bong Hee's house and were best buds again....cuz that made all the sense in the world!
This has got to be one of the crappiest endings I've ever seen! Tae Ho kills FIVE people, the pilot, the reporter, So Hee, Yeol and the guy from the boat when they escaped the island and also his friend in the beginning (sort of....he started it off and thought he killed him and then tried to cover it up). And then he tries to pin all his crimes on Joon Oh. And then the last 10 minutes all Joon Oh has to say is "Does killing people make you happy?" and he cries. BAM! Instant redemption! So hey, let's all have a painting party with the KILLER and all be best buds! Even So Hee's brother was there and okay with everyone forgiving him. Cuz that made a whole lot of sense. He spent the whole drama searching for the truth so he can then have a good time painting with her killer?!? Yeah, that makes all the sense in the world. My jaw totally dropped while watching the end. Oh, and they mention that they are still looking for Yeol. Guess their buddy Tae Ho forgot to mention that he left him face down in the water after killing him on the island.
Tae Ho cried so I guess everything is forgiven! Not! What a crappy ending. Don't they feel sorry towards…
What also annoys me is that So Hee's brother was at the painting party! WTH?!? The whole drama he is out to find the truth to bring justice to his sister's murder and he ends up painting with her killer?!?
Just found out this morning that LSG was injured while filming in YAS. He was stabbed in the eye with a prop knife. Update from Singapore FC:
"Because he has went to hospital without delay, it has prevent him from going blind. Doctor advised him to rest for a month, cannot exercise. Hook said if continue with the filming schedule, the wound would not heal and may cause inflammation, if serious, might even need to do surgery which will lead to longer healing period. Seung Gi current vision is blurred. Seung Gi is wearing an eye mask now. Doctor said is a must to rest, temporary for now, cannot go back to the set. In order not to affect the filming, Seung Gi is trying his best to recover... He is visiting the hospital twice a day and has been taking medicine and receiving treatment. Because there is wound, even with make up, it is obvious. Because of the vigorous exercise or fighting in the script, it may lead to eye cornea within to bleed, in order to reduce intraocular pressure, he is using a steroid eyedrops. If the intraocular pressure continues to rise, it may result glaucoma. After treatment, the likelihood of relapse is very high"
We are praying for you oppa!
Just watched the extra episode on DF. And IMO, it cemented my theory even more that Dong Chan lives. When Dong Chan read the story to Saet Byul at the end he reads that the knight beats up the grim reaper and is able to stop him from taking the little girl and the mom. To me this is symbolic that Dong Chan was able to beat death and save them both in the end. So, I stick by my theory that Dong Chan is alive :)
wow awesome drama but the ending....................., can someone explain what did i just watched?????/ -.- i'm…
I think Dong Chan lived and here is why.....I think the prophecy was about Dong Chan. In order for the girl to live one of them would have to disappear. And one of them did. It showed TWO Dong Chan's. One was his past self talking to his future/present self (which was him remembering that he killed the girl the first time) and so by remembering what he did AND noticing that she was alive his old self disappeared and they both survived. And the splash we all heard. I think that was the mom going into the water to stop him. So the whole point of the prophecy was for Dong Chan to remember what he did and for his old fate to disappear. And in the 2nd timeline DC had become a different person. He was more caring and wasn't so selfish. So the two Dong Chan's couldn't exist at the same time.....thus "between the two one of them must disappear."
I refused to believed Dong Chan died at the end. How did he die? He committed suicide. Why? He was hurt by his…
I think he is alive. I think the point of the whole prophecy was to get DC to change his fate from killing the little girl. That's why both he and Soo Hyun went back in time. DC had to remember what he did and change history. At the end when he realized that he was the one that killed her before AND he realized that she was still alive he was able to change their fate. When he said "Don't worry ahjumma. I will protect her" I think he was saying that he realized what the prophecy meant and now he could protect the girl since he was able to remember the past. The splash in the water I believe was the mom going after them to stop him. And I think the book they read in the drama was symbolic of the story being told. In the book the little girl died just like in the 1st time line. In ep 10 DC then re-wrote the end by having her save him just like he rewrote history in the 2nd time line.
Wait.....what just happened at the end I'm so confused???? What made him come to that conclusion? And was that…

Yeah, I absolutely loved him in this drama. He quickly became my new bias. Hope to see him in a new drama real soon! And agree that he totally made this drama amazing. And if you think about it, it more became about Dong Chan's story instead of the little girl and her mom. It still was about saving the girl, but, it could only be done by unraveling Dong Chan's story. I absolutely loved it!
The drama is and will be my favorite this year! To tell you the truth i expected one of the main leads to die!…

I understand the 2nd timeline and I totally agree with AngelaSaRang's explanation about the ending below, but…
In the 1st time line I think she did get kidnapped and that's why they had the voice recording. Remember how they said it had to be that day and it had to be Saet Byul? First time line they succeeded with the kidnapping. 2nd time line they didn't but still had to make it look like they did so they used the voice recording. 1st time line it was the same thing as the 2nd. They drugged Dong Chan and they had someone that sounded like his mother give him a call. So the 1st & 2nd time line they made him believe his mother killed her. Then when he found her supposedly dead he believed it to be true and that's when he dumped her into the lake.
2nd question- agree with above comment that it wasn't because of the jewelry but because the little girl knew the president's son. Also agree that he would still sacrifice for his mom in the 1st timeline. He was not in his right mind as he was drugged.
