Naive older woman, I'm okay with that. But just because she's new to relationship doesn't mean she should be devoid of common sense. She's in hr dealing with people all the time and yet she's completely oblivious to what SML is trying to do? That's unbelievable.

Too much time is wasted on the SML when we really wanted to see how she can make the relationship work with ML. Even to the end, we didn't get to see that. What a waste of 41 episodes.

Getting bored. Ep. 11 is starting to look like this is another of those dramas where the second leads/supports are getting more screen time than the leads.

I don’t really care to know about Ms. Jin and LYL's story. Neither of them are likable.

Looks like the writers want to give LYL a sad life story to explain away his criminal actions. Guys like LYL can’t really tell right from wrong in his distorted mind. If there's justice, he should pay for his crimes.

This FL is hard to like. There’s no growth in her character in all the years.
At the beginning it’s understandable that she’s cold and tough since she was an orphan and she had no one. It’s admirable that she went to college and got as far as she did. But her cold and arrogant attitude never changed, not even towards the people who cared about her. She didn’t learn anything from the friends she made at the factory, and never soften up for a moment. She came back to Fucheng looking and acting exactly like she did in the beginning.

Not sure why she couldn’t compromise with Xiao Lu about the storage issue. She came back and tried to steamroll everyone like only her business is important. Despite her sacrifice and hardship, I can’t really root for her. She’s too inhumane.

Right now liking the bro and Ms. Tao’s relationship. They’ve both grown and they stayed in the background while silently caring about each other. The singer and Xiao Ying are also cute.

Qi Lan is too much. He's aggressive for no reason. If he uses his brain and acts like a normal person, he could maybe figure out with her how to get her back to her own world. Just because she's here doesn't mean she's using his friend's body. Where did he get that conclusion? He makes no sense. And him force feeding her is p!ssing me off.

It's understandable that he's concerned for his friend. But it's totally unnecessary for him to be so mean and self-righteous. She didn't go there by choice and it's obvious she wants to go home. How is it her fault in anyway? He should use his brain instead of blaming her outright.

So much melodrama.
At this point I'm just waiting for a compilation of FYS and ZJ's sweet moments. The rest of the show is skippable and unnecessary.

ikr, for someone who is supposedly intelligent and capable, she's not very smart. How does she have no idea about her husband's income and need the ex-mistress to tell her?
After all the planning and mental preparation for the divorce, she ends up letting the cheater get the upper hand on her and do all those things to her and her daughter.
So far she's not showing a backbone and is running around having everyone help her. That's not necessarily a bad thing, except that she was supposed to be a "strong woman".

Was looking forward to some Cheng Yi being cute moments, but so far those are far and in between. This melodrama is too toxic to enjoy and not sure how much I can stand it.

Yun Shen is the cliche good guy and we don't see as much of him as we see his brother.

FXZ is too selfish to be redeemable. I can't give him another chance after seeing his actions towards Yun Shen's mom. Yes, she's evil and she caused his mom's death, but he can't see clear that it has nothing to do with his brother, who was completely innocent in that.
Strangling Yun Shen's mom, right in front of him, is just as bad as the things she did to his mom. If he's suffered so much because of his mom's pain, does he not think about how Yun Shen would suffer because of his actions? Because of him, Yun Shen has already suffered so much.

FXZ is blinded by revenge, he's treating his brother and his own wife the same way he and his mom were treated. I don't buy that he's a wounded guy with a good heart, because he doesn't care about other people's feelings and think nothing of hurting the innocent. There are better examples of bad guys with a good core, like Di Fei Sheng. FXZ is not one of them.

I don't know why but I can't see past all the fillers/plastic surgery on the ML's face. I admit I haven't seen much of his work, but he looks unrecognizable from his previous face.

The brothers are getting so tiresome whining constantly. GSJ throws a fit and threatens to leave if he doesn't get his way. Much more immature than Ziyu. So what if it's not fair? Grow up GSJ, if you care about the clan, you would first help Ziyu get the clan back into order instead of the constant complaining.

The FL is annoying as hell. At first I thought she's was smart and kind of spunky, but nope, she's just childish. The whole thing about insisting ML to acknowledge the fake engagement was dumb. I want to see her acting smart and more her age. She's mis-cast., she doesn't suit acting and pouting like a child. I haven't seen her in anything else, but I was expecting a cool smart woman when I first saw her.

Right, after all her scheming and the determination to avenge her family, now she's so careless near the final stretch. Makes no sense. Plot hole are popping up everywhere.

Actions he's done millions of times over the course of his career. It takes years of training and experience to become a chef of his caliber. I think he even mentioned it in the beginning that he'd done those actions so long that he could do it blindfolded. Blind or not, he knows better than to move without reason. Lowering his hand over something they had just finished is completely stupid and careless, which he wouldn't have gotten to that level if he was ever like that.

Enough of this BS. We have two episodes left and we still have no resolution for the main leads. There are hardly any developments on them for the last few episodes and way too many scenes of everyone else especially of the evil Quentins enjoying life and moving on. Elise and doctor needs to get their just desserts ASAP. By now they should be behind bars and the doc’s license revoked.

Also feel so cheated by the competition, the winning by default thing. Come on, JQF is an executive chef of two Michelin starred restaurants and he keeps making such rookie mistakes by being clumsy? It would be better if they just lost fair and square instead of dumb mistakes. This makes main leads so pitiful and they make the Quentins sound so noble by sharing the trophy. If it wasn’t for them, this wouldn’t have happened. The only good thing that’s happened is Nina coming back.

This is one of the best food themed series, it's filled with so much foodgasm. Very well made and attention to details. Also like that they show all kinds of food, including street food and not just fine dining.

So many toxic relationships in this drama. Finished episode 3 and I've lost count of the number of toxic people. The FL is not much better, even though she's probably looking for revenge, she comes across as very cold and calculating and don't seem to give a fig about the ML other than as a means to an end. She was married to him but it's like she's never had any feelings for him and only wants to use him.

What's wrong with Baek Seung Chan, he has some kind of older woman complex or something?
I find Ye Jin totally unlikable, she's so disrespectful and two-faced. After the obnoxious way she's been treating him, how could he even remotely like her? She was also completely rude and repulsive the way she was paying him back the money.
Cindy might be rude but at least she's not trying to pretend to be someone she isn't.

This drama surprised me, in a good way. At first I have no intention of watching it, but I'm glad I gave it a try. I'm 10 episodes in, and so far it's good. Light-hearted, good laughs and good surprises.

I thought it would be the typical super smart/rich ML with a cold personality, but the actor is actually hilarious with his expressions. Kind of reminds me of the ML in Le Coup de Foudre with his awkwardness and quirkiness.
The FL is not just your average naive sweet tstl girl. Even though she's obviously crazy about ML, she's independent and has some backbone, shown later on. She's also optimistic, forgiving and uses her logic. I was meh about the FL actress since her acting is not very good, but the FL character has won me over.

Their families are also funny. It's not your typical snobby rich family looking down on the poor family. They still have some tension, but it's cute. In fact it's a really nice change to see such a sweet (not in the typical way) MIL in dramaland.
