I understand where you’re coming from. There’s no excuse for the path he has chosen though. It’s not like…
Yes, this! If he was bold enough to murder innocents, then he should have been bold enough to disobey his uncle. Fame and fortune would have come eventually with his talents, but he was greedy and impatient and didn't want to work his way up.
Even though there were flaws (especially editing) and unexplained actions, I still enjoyed this drama overall and still worth watching. The last few episodes were a bit over the top though, with many unnecessary deaths.
Can someone tell me when Wei Zhi even got pregnant? When did they do the deed? It seems that in every life, Yan Yue betrayed her before they could get intimate.
I wasn't expecting all the nonstop action in the last few episodes, and the brutal fight scenes. There was a lot of sword and knife deaths! Overall I really enjoyed this drama. I would like to rewatch again without the agonizing waiting for episodes to be released. I wish there was a grand wedding in the capital for the emperor and epilogue of them with kids and coronation of 3rd prince.
I think Lou Ben's wife turning traitorously evil didn't make logical sense. Seemed out of character. How could she blame them all for her husband's greed and overambitiousness? Even trying to kill Lou Yan's pregnant wife! Also, why didn't HBY just kill her when they were in the underground trap, instead of letting her burn and explode the place and set off even more traps?!! He could have thrown a dagger or sword at her. She doesn't know how to fight. Would have been easy!
Lou Ben’s storyline made me sad and cry a bit Despite his competence, they chose to hold him down, forced to…
But there's no excuse for murdering a whole family including the women and children, just for a bit of greed or ambition. He should have petitioned to the emperor directly or had LBY recommend him . He wanted a fast track to a high position. There is no redemption for a person like him. All his intelligence for evilness. If he actually was in a position of power, he may abuse it if he was ever in a compromised position.
Also, did you notice how she kinda blamed LBY when he found her in the burnt prison almost dead. She was like…
I don't think you can blame her for being inconsiderate since she is out of her mind with worry about her beloved father and how not finding him will affect her family. It's understandable she never stopped to think about LBY's hardships, until reminded. It's not immaturity or selfishness, just human.
I normally fast forward to the ending when the tension starts, when the heartbreak begins, and then go back to…
Right, I feel the way the drama is directed that even when it's serious or dramatic, there is usually humor and lightness to ease us viewers through it gently. I think the director will also ease us through the hardships to come for our amazing couple! 🤗
