Sometimes in life you just need to say Yes. Some of my best experiences in life came about from saying yes to things I'd never tried before or had been scared to do. Breaking free from one's comfort zone is the only way to grow and achieve fulfillment.

This is the second BL this quarter where taking chances and stepping out of the comfort zone are the underlying message/theme. (The other is Our Dining Table)

Even ordinary folk get slack for choosing to put their family first. Lots of women receive flack for leaving careers to be housewives, as if caring for the future generations is a dishonourable job. And yes motherhood is a full time job in and of itself. Or the dads who choose to let their wives, who have a better career path keep working while they raise the kids they helped bring into the world. And this iteration of feminism isn't helping matters either. It seems instead of giving women freedom to choose, it's penalizing them for taking their lives in the direction they want. I think generally people have too much free time hence they have the time to mind other people's business

Totally agree. The only time this arrangement is problematic is when it is done under duress. My elder sister is a full time stay-at-home mum and is living her best life, while I opted for the other route after my kids entered kindergarten. It's about what works best for the couple and really isn't anybody else's business to be honest

Who actually writes these headlines? Embroiled? Scandal? I honestly thought he was banging a married woman or an underage girl with those keywords. A grown man maybe dating a woman of legal age is now a scandal? GTFOH! Wake me up when something actually newsworthy happens!

Anyone complaining about the ML here should watch Loving You is Not a Crime. The ML there is much, much, much worse. I only keep watching these dramas hoping see a FL who doesn't accept the ML's weak ass apologies and rains hell on all the haters. Alas out of every 20 or so we get maybe one kick ass FL like in Revenge (of the Best Actress).

As Hollybae5 said plastic surgery is a staple in the Asiatic region even for non-celebrities so it wouldn't be a surprise. And if you remember Call it What You Want (Thai BL series loosely based on happenings in the BL industry), surgery is often required by the agencies to meet specific beauty standards

Guess this'll be a hot take! I didn't love this episode, didn't hate it but something was just off this week. I have been hooked since episode 1 but for some reason this episode is irking me.

I don't even mind overacting I'm a lover of manga and its Japanese adaptations which as most people know tend to be way over the top with body comedy and being extra. Kris kept pulling me out of it with his excessive and exaggerated facial expressions which gave off uncanny valley vibes. the thought that kept popping up in my head was either he had surgery or lots of Botox.
