OMG! i love this remake one. The martial arts and fighting is a combination classic with advanced FX so it made this drama has epic fighting scene. It's not like the new drama nowadays with weird fighting moves and skills. Mostly like magic, immortal etc. I love the opening ost by Wekin Chau , the ML, yang Xiao, and many others characters and the romance here...etc...
I never ship between Dae Ddong and the king ( Yi Soo). I know that Gae Ddong would be with Ma Hoon. But the thing is, with all respect, no offense, the female lead seems not fit to ply as gae Ddong here. She doesn't make any chemistry with anyone. I don't hate or dislike the actress...i just feel she doesn't fit alls to be Gae Ddong...

So After i finished this drama, this is the first drama that i am not sad or mad because the FL dead , because i don't like her after causing so many innocent life died. Yang Jian accepted too that she wanted to atone her sin but the last word of Jiang Zi Yha is a hints that he exchange his immortal to his disciples happiness..it means to Yang Jian and DaJi. Actually I never ship them though from the beginning..I wish he is with Xiao Er although Xiao Er is annoying and childish. But she is kind hearted. All the ML and FL are so selfish. They don't care others' life but only they want to be together. I feel sorry for the Crown prince. I was hopping that he will alive and be with Xiao Er, They are cute together. I am happy Ji Fa with Lan Ying together. I can understand now why the drama got underrated. It's because the selfish character, draggy, and bad fx. Even the stick pine on the minister hat look like a drawing like a kid halloween costume. One ridiculous thing is about the battle, the scene when they sent the troops to Jizhou was like 100K troops and very epic scene..but when they will send to another war, they need to recruits ppl. And the last battle, it's not so many as they sent to Jizhou..and Jizhou is a small state. Lol..where is the logic?? One more thing that annoys me is the eye of heaven almost never use and It's one of the main causing of the story. I was hope when he could control the eye of heaven, he could use it and more fighting epic scene...But i was wrong..
If someone will re-make this , I hope they will fins the right actors & Actresses and the story would be better, better effect too , more epic scene in fighting and battle. Actually this is a good potential drama...

After I 've watched a half of the drama episodes, I can understand why the rate is low. Because all the protagonist are selfish like hell. Yang Jian just care about his daJi , he doesn't care about the ppl in the nation got suffered and ppl around him got killed. DaJi is selfish as hell when Yang Jian tried to help Xiao Er..she got so jealous. She is causing many innocent 's life gone, including Bo YiKao, JIFa's bro. I can understand her pain, but she should get revenge by not spoiling innocent blood. Sometimes I just wish that Yang Jian is ended by Xiao Er although Xiao Er is so annoying like hell...but she has a good heart.
Well..he is the only one who can play his roll and fit to portray his character. I think the others actors just don't really fit to play their characters. They look too old than the characters they have to play ( yang Jian should be looked like 20 and Da Ji should be less than 20 years old)
Just watched few episodes. Actually the story is good. The things that makes this drama underrated could be the actors. I think they didn't choose the right actors . No offense for all the actors though...but it's just they didn't fit to play their character . For example Yang Jian, 20 years after , he looks like a 35-40 years old man instead of 20 years old guy and the female looks like teh same although she should be younger than Yang Jian. The only actor that good one is Deng Lun ( I am not his big fans to him fyi). He is good to play as demon here... If just they choose the right actor to play the characters in this drama, this drama would have a better rate. The one who play Yang Jian and Da ji should be younger or look younger than they have right now.
Btw, if you watch this, throw all the image away about heaven realm you know like in Eternal Love or Ashes of Love. In here, the heaven realm is not as magnificent as in those drama.

Thanks..i understand now..some ppl maybe watch it on Viki which has only 53 episodes while originally 65 episodes. That's why they don't watch the real ending.
damn I really wanna watch this but the amount of negative reviews are a bit overwhelming
Trust me, you won't regret it..just skip some boring unrelated scenes if you think it's boring..The only thing that make me mad is Bai Pinting, although she is a good strategist, but she can't fight at all..annoying me...and how many times she said herself about to believe each others, she was the one who broke it...
