I am also terrible with name 🙈. But I remember that I really adore her character in Ohna Joshuu Naotora, so I checked that page first to find her name 🤣
That's cute. With the revelation in ep 7 where it show that Sosuke was the one who saved Hana. I wonder, did Hana subconsciously knew and recognised her saviour? That's why she immediately could make eye contact with Sosuke when they meet again. While Sosuke, he subconsciously remember that his touch ever safe a life. That's probably the first time he didn't feel guilty to touch someone for a long time, because he safe her. It's save to touch her and he knew it.
I liked the korea version a lot (the last few episodes did get a little boring) so im hesitating to watch this…
1. Takeru portrayal felt more subtle and gentler. ML in Japanese version never really joined FL or helped directly in her revenge plot. However he always made sure that FL was safe and sound. He seems just really grateful because he could saw her alive. So you'll probably also like Takeru portrayal. 2. For me, FL in J version felt more grounded and relatable. FL sure have knowledge of the future, while PMY seem really confident with all of her plan and rarely crack her mask, FL in j version still had that uncertainty about her plan. She pissed of when she thought someone would ruined her plan. She also questioned herself was she a bad person because she done it? But she couldn't contain herself when her plan succeeded. Her change felt more gradually and definitely not instant She definitely didn't feel weepy or despondent.
If you like a romance with more skin ship, you'll probably prefer the korean version. But, if you like type of romance where small gesture and less desire to keep but always want to protect, you'll probably enjoy romance in japanase version better. ML in k-version made sure the FL got her revenge While j-version, he just want to make sure FL happy and safe
Wataru surely became a beast when he beat the manager. And he done it after sliding elegantly through the window. Felt a bit out of character because he said he stopped at white belt level on ep 8. But I will let it pass, he just wants to save Misa. 🤣
And he looks terrifying when he tried to choke Reina. I wish Takeru Sato could take villain role because he actually good at it.
And it took 9 years for them to propose? The turtle really fit their relationship build up. And kamekichi will life long enough to still watch their relationship grow futher.
Also It so cute to see Wataru interaction with Sumeyoshi's daughter at the background.
So far the Japanese version has stuck pretty close to the webtoon, things have been tightened up/shortened since…
Someone mentioned in older comment, they probably change a cat to turtle because in japanese culture turtle represent longevity, wisdom, good fortune, and protection. While cat also associated with good luck and protection, slow nature of turtle probably closer to ML and FL relationship build up in J-version.
Did Misa tell Director Suzuki she's from the future and was trying to change the past? Episode 5 & 6 she seems…
No, misa didn't tell him yet on ep 5/6. But I guess if you got that feeling about Misa talked openly about she wanted to change future, it's probably because Misa let her guard down around Suzuki. She already trust him even when she didn't admit it yet.
I'm getting back into J-dramas/films after a break and need some recommendations! I'm loving Watashi no Otto to…
For recent release, you should tried Nami Uraraka ni Meoto Biyori (2025) It super cute and light. The main couple was suddenly married and super awkward with each other. Ikinari Kon (2025) is super cliché but somehow made you keep watch it. The FL was timid, her boy friend was an ass, and the ML was so out of her league and made her questioning ML intention. The height difference between FL and ML feels like a chef kiss.
I think you'll also like Nagi's long vacation (2019). It's written by same script writer of Watashi no Otto Kekkon Shite. The story resolve around an office lady who burned out with her life and tried to take a long break.
For older recommendations, there was "N no Tameni (2014). The series open with a flashback of an incident. Each character who involved has 'N' for their initial, and each character tried to protect they most precious N. The way they unfolding it was captivating.
I think Wataru committed suicide in his first life when he drove off the bridge (I hate this but it's in the source…
I agree with this theory. Wataru knew that they need replacement for their own fate. And I think he thought it had to be done intentionally (like Misa did to Reina, or when he safe her from boiling water). I guessed he never intended to pass his suicide fate to other, so that's why he hesitated to ask Misa'a out or when Misa ask him to kiss her, he also denied when Miku teased him about their relationship. He always wanted to made sure Misa found her happiness but he never calculated that Misa would fall for him
The moment Misa told him about her fate were transferred to Sumiyoshi and she had an intention to kill herself, he realised his fate already transferred to her. So yup, I agree, he probably wants to take back his fate and done it quickly before Misa did it. He made sure to cut off Misa because he didn't want Misa to feel deeper connection to him (which she already did).
I think Misa will realise that Wataru do it for her. She already realised that Wataru wouldn't see her directly if he didn't want to tell the truth. Wataru never see her eyes when he said his rejection. Misa probably will connect the dots and questioning about everything like how he died. Misa probably will go find him.
PS: At episode 5 and 6, I actually didn't agree with the theory that Wataru killed himself. It felt out of his character 🙈. I thought they will go with accident path, But with this kind of progress, i think suicide is more made sense
I honestly loved the korean version...it had its flaws but I was super happy coz the webtoon was my fave!! This…
I'll recommend Tonbi (2013) https://kisskh.at/5691-tonbi-2013 There was a scene, where Takeru's character lost his little son. He married with a woman who already has a son. And this little boy really close to him. One day, the little boy run away, i forgot if I remember correctly the kid felt lonely and jealous because his new born brother/sister took all the attention. They found him, near the beach, and he slapped his little boy, but as soon as he slapped him, he then hug his boy tightly. Whispering to never do it again, to never disappear from his sight again That scene really engraved in my memory, he angry because his son was wrong and he made sure his son knew it. However, at the same time, he also show his love for him. The way he hug him, and his shaking voice, it really show us how afraid he was and how much his love for his son. He look like a real dad at that scene. The series probably will be hard to find, but if you find it, please go watch it. It such a heartwarming story about father and son relationship.
It was suicide according to the webtoon but in it, he didn't take Jee Won (Misa)'s ashes if i remember correctly.…
thx for the explanation, I didn't read the webtoon, but watched the k-drama. It's quite surprising they execute the replacement very different in webtoon and k-drama.
I'm curious how far they made changes in this version vs original webtoon? Did ML also see how FL died in webtoon?
Re-watched ep 5 and just notice subtle gesture from Wataru. He seems hugged Misa's ashes tighter while he walked through the chaos in her funeral. Like he didn't want anything to hurt her anymore.
Some said he probably kill himself by drove off from the bridge while taking her ashes. But, I didn't think Wataru would do that to her loved one, he must be want to gave proper funeral for Misa first
I really hope they don't go to suicide path for Wataru.
ML in webtoon version indeed do suicide, right? While the k-version made it as an accident
I think it will be poetic if he had a car accident while or after he brought her ashes to Toyama, the place where…
I will wait until it confirmed, because in that flashback his car indeed fell from the bridge, but I didn't see it done intentionally, so it could be an accident not suicide 😁
But I remember that I really adore her character in Ohna Joshuu Naotora, so I checked that page first to find her name
🤣
The way Han Hyo Joo said Ya!! (No!!)🤣
With the revelation in ep 7 where it show that Sosuke was the one who saved Hana.

It's save to touch her and he knew it.
It's indeed a miracle
So you'll probably also like Takeru portrayal.

The theme song is perfect, it still stay on my playlist since forever.

I wish this series get more recognition.

While the k-version made it as an accident
Fuka (The actor who played Misa) said "the second half of the story is unique to Japanese original story"
So let's hope they execute everything perfectly until the last episode
