You may start with his short movies Wuliang and Painted Skin, they are masterpieces! If you like his cinematographic style, it would be easier to dive into dramas, cause they are very slow-paced and feel draggy at the beginning. I like the 2nd half of FoF much better than the 1st half, and I was watching MJTY on 1.5 speed most of the time ))) But still, I love these dramas and will rewatch them soon again.
