That's fair for all chinese costume dramas in that case, esp for historical dramas about palace intrigues, they are absolutely the same with same plots and styles and costumes, even villains aka ministers always the same. After first 5-6 dramas in this genre I can't watch it anymore, cause it's all the same lol
But somehow this genre keeps receiving high ratings and top rankings among watchers. I don't get it )))

The explanation is simple. We are just trying to figure out what is going on on set, why actors change their looks dramatically, how many characters they play, and what the story is about. We've been desperately trying to connect the dots for almost 4 months and 60k comments and fail every time. That's all 🙃

I think nowadays toxicity of fans and esp antis is not smth new to industry (as it was like 10 years ago when SM's influence started), so famous ppl grow thick skin and mental strength to deal with it. I hope Rui learns that quickly, he's a smart guy.
