I can add few recs that weren't mentioned here by others. It's The Blue Whisper and The Long Ballad. Both with Dilraba FL. When time passed by, I remember only her lead, not ML in both dramas )) And there is a lot of beauty and angst. But not so much love chemistry in my opinion.
And if you want a light comedy, it's Decreed by Fate. Two absolutely hot and stunning MLs in love with one quite smart and independent FL, and she wants them both XD So refreshing lol.

Ok, TTJ was cosplaying Snow White in the first episodes, and Sleeping Beauty in ep.30. And when I think about it, he was cosplaying Jasmine as well. He was locked in a palace almost all his life, and he had a big tiger pet who he could talk to, lol.

Sang Jiu is Little Mermaid, who fell in love with a handsome guy and dreamed to go to the upper world.

And ok, LSS/YXW is Belle. Because she sacrificed herself to save her father and fell for the hottest, sweet, and soft inside Beast. LOL

And that's strange. I'm sure Korean industry can find money or foreign investments to make a big budget historical hit. With all that insane international popularity of korean movies and dramas. Someone should start it. And the success of Alchemy of Souls should inspire producers more.

Oh, I can feel you now. I like historical genre as well, but I just can't watch korean male costumes with those funny hats and robes that make all handsome korean actors just ugly. After chinese uxia/xianxia costumes it's a shame that koreans don't have something more pleasant for men.

Interesting, that lately I've seen c-drama "My unicorn girl" where ML had the same illness. And FL was an actress who's also starring in this drama. It's her fate lol
