Just finished the drama. I was watching 1 episode per day during my morning coffee cause I wasn't hooked enough to the story, but still, it was interesting to watch at a slow pace. LYX and the older cast are the saviors of the show. In the last 10 episodes, their scenes were so emotional, I was crying during mama Su dialogue with her husband's photo. As for FL... ugh. I tried my best to understand her feelings from the beginning, but when she stayed self-concentrated in her relationship with Gu till the end, I just couldn't take it anymore. Romantic scenes and kisses from her side are just cringe for me (except for the starry night in Lakaya). Chinese censorship is not an excuse for an actor not to show LOVE in their eyes and micro-movements! (The Untamed illustrates it perfectly!) I understand that the drama is not romance-centric and usually I don't pay big attention to kisses on screen, but this drama forced me to hate almost all kiss scenes in the 2nd half of the drama. It was soo unnatural esp. when every single time they showed it in slooow close-up with blurry light and romantic music, which made it even more unnatural and out of place. Although, most of the time I was curious about all that medical science stuff. The final episode how the story ends gave me a bittersweet aftertaste. I don't regret watching the whole drama. My rating is 7.5
I hope they will make characters' posters like with TTEOTM more than a year before airing. Back then, I was able to memorize and fell in love with all characters and their costumes before knowing who all these people were

Yeah! And that short teaser of the 2nd season that came out a hundred years ago... Chinese are so sadistic. They create so hooking stories and just never give it to us 😭
