Normaly an expensive feast created by quality.
Not strange if one says that "looks a bit like Mr. Queen".The use of 'michelin chef' terms; seems to have a place in many Korean dramas and variety shows these days, and it's boring, knowing the truth of the status isn't achieved by simply attaching it to a character's label. With a heavy heart, this drama is very different from some culinary dramas I have watched, I would call it a forced airing for this one. Not all historical tragedies can be used as "what if" scenarios when writing a script, as some could bring a potential risk to sentiments of certain groups. Furthermore, the haphazard addition of certain aspects seem like an attempt to sway public opinion.
This is very dangerous considering the negative impact of rewriting history, especially through fiction, if not done carefully, although personally I liked the depth of the male lead's character.
Hope that future dramas like this, would be written and produced with more natural dialogue and scenes, also good prepromotion so they don't come off as tacky and obvious.
As a most cook said "don't waste good ingredients"

Please, it's prince mantis not queen mantis
I'm trying to understand if the scriptwriter really understands the character of a psychopath as he wrote the dialogue "k*lling is not as difficult as clean it"In my PoV a serial K*ller didn't always mean to be a psycho. If the psycho did, it will be no trace; and they enjoy every process like a dedication. that's the horror, that's the thrill, That'll haunt the public's fear.
Some dialogues consider memorable, but overall story filled with clichés; it loses the hook.
As an character, ms. Go deliver the best character of a calculative mother figure. Not a mantis. Best of the worst. This drama talk about the female lead is it? Need not to saw the extras story.

Mr.Lee Make Me Gay
It's hard to find a man with this spec. it's what separates fiction from reality. The drama itself depicts this conflict very well, perhaps in the midst of a civilization haunted by fear and discrimination against cancer patients. We all know every life is precious, we need to add a shark into our tank. and viewers can learn from FL the importance of that. We can also mourn the loss with a sense of relief after crying, even though they're not the main characters. A portrait of life that, although slightly dramatized, still provides lessons
Note: I totally fell in love when mr. lee got out from the rented sports car, even my expression was as stunned as FL's at that time 😲

Gran Magnifique!
It perfectly depicts the struggles of a chef. The storyline is clear and the goals are clear. The writer didn't immediately give the characters Michelin stars; there's a reason for that, and we feel they deserve it in this drama. It's like watching a drama version of The Hundred-Foot Journey with many stern yet engaging scenes. "a chef must lead" that's why they're prideful.
not wanting to compare, but there's nothing wrong if Korean culinary dramas learning from their neighbors (as a reference for the drama).

it's time for mukbang! don't forget about thee health
the royal got a big appetite, This is what drives the plot. The audience will be treated to a variety of dishes. It's like watching a cooking show every Saturday morning. My suggestion is that when they eat, the audience should also eat, considering that this drama talks more about food. The role of the king is truly enjoyable, not thinking about managing the country, just eating, getting sick, dying
As a first-time career woman, Ms. Lee portrayed the role quite well considering the acting quality of that time. I don't understand why the sageuk dramas of the last few years haven't depicted the daily life of a palace maid in as much detail as this drama.

I devided it into two part
the memorable episode of this saeguk till the death of gaeshi and dethronement of gwanghae.FL is not suited to this role, and Seo Kang Joon is a bit stiff for his character. But Cha Seung Won, Kim Yeo Jin, and Jung Woong In portrayed their roles very captivatingly. Especially Mr. Cha, who I think successfully transformed Prince Gwanghae's image, and Ms. Kim, who truly became a friend, mentor, and loyal servant.
I recommend to watch this drama from episode 1 to 37 only, more than that, there is a concern that this drama will lose its essence.
Although the acting quality of some actors is regrettable, in terms of the storyline, the episodes that I recommend are considered worthy.

Pain make it Beauty
love to watch this drama, it teach me the beauty of pain. sometimes a lesson tought by an unexpected subjectEven though it is fiction, the scriptwriter has described all the characters well. Almost all the scenes have a deep impression, and most of them are painful, in accordance with the routinity and the background of the characters in this drama. How loyalty, betrayal, suffer, wrapped in the elegance of literature and art. an original work. so elusive.
Each character supporting another balance, and too strong; even for the extras. I'm not overrate it, yet consider to watch it at least once.

Dropped!
the initial narrative is really misleading. Are they just combining several beliefs with the pop culture story of a thousand and one nights? What is certain is that the use of the name 'iblis' is specific to only one belief, considering that other beliefs don't use that name. If this is fiction, then the author has the opportunity to find another, more secular name, like 'ifreet' perhaps or 'Bael' something sound bit mideast. it would really help the overall development of the narrative for this romance. What makes this drama really annoying is the naming of the main characters which is too stiff and monotonous, so I decided not to continue watching this drama.
I understand why some communities object the narrative of the drama and it should be a consideration for other script writers, in the future; to write fantasy scripts neatly.
even lies should be carefully considered, that's fantasy is
