The one who got punished the most is Phum's father who encouraged this revenge. I am glad that he stayed alive to "NOT enjoy" the fruits of his revenge and feel regret, sorrow and sadness until the rest of his life. He lost his son. That's the price of his revenge.
The story is ok. But the actors are too old! I don't want to see actors looking like teenagers but I don't want to see main actors in their late 40s either. I almost never watch dramas from Hong Kong or Singapore because they have old actors and they are not that good looking either. I do agree that they are talented but there are much younger actors who are very talented too, and good looking.
It's the kind of drama where ONE unskilled middle-aged terrorist woman wearing high heels and a business suit can fight TWO of the best, younger, special operations highly trained solders, wearing special protective attire, and repeatedly hit them, kick them, stab them and shoot them (and yes, I mean repeatedly stab them and shoot at them). Then all 3 end laying on the floor, much injured, the evil woman still dizzy. And surprise! Although she and them are seriously injured, she almost escapes but fights them again, repeatedly stabbing them each a few more times, adding to their earlier countless stab wounds and bullet wounds. Who thought of this RIDICULOUS scene ?
The ML is a very BAD ACTOR in this drama. He either had a stoic face, or a stoic face with an added fake smile where the rest of his face wasn't moving, or an angry face! He was unable to portray emotions properly and at times looked like a statue. His voice didn't convey feelings but was mostly either angry or monotone. I didn't see any love between him and the FL; there was chemistry on her part, but not from him. Even at the end, when he was supposed to be so in love with her, he had the same stoic face and the same monotone voice.

This is my 6th time watching this drama since its release 10 years ago. I LOVE it! Every time I re watch, I notice little things I missed before. I love how the extended family keeps the family memorial tradition with all the rites that go with it to give respect to their ancestors. They live in that old type of house, keeping traditions as much as possible while adapting to the modern world. Sometimes it seems as if thereâs not much chemistry between the leads. But their relationship keeps up with the familyâs ways over generations. The male is the âcoldâ leader and the female and staff follow his ârulingsâ. It doesnât mean the male leader is bad, but it just the way he was brought up and he must show superiority. The ML is in charge of making the money and he FL is in charge of the household. The FL is very kind and they love each other. She is very respectful of him and it shows when she speaks to him. It doesnât mean the ML is takes advantage of her. He loves her and respects her too. I believe that they are just right for each other. He remains the leader. She is the leaderâs wife and isnât afraid of him, but still shows some deference and thatâs why it looks as if the two of them have a lack of chemistry. She is slowly learning the familyâs ways from her mother in law, and she will keep traditions going.
The ML was a weakling and a sissy throughout the whole drama and I really dislike such MLs. He couldn't say NO to anything but always turned words around to avoid hurting anyone, but ended up hurting someone. When the 2FL said he got her pregnant, he couldn't strongly deny it. All he had to do was say NO I DIDN'T SLEEP WITH HER. I DIDN'T GET HER PREGNANT AND I REFUSE RESPONSIBILITY. So everyone assumed he did and even planned their wedding!
The FL was a clueless, careless and irresponsible woman, at least at the beginning. She went on this wannabe farm girl adventure completely unprepared. No planning whatsoever. She didn't even have the name of a supposed relative. In a matter of hours, she carelessly caused two accidental crashes resulting in the broken leg of a poor farmer, then another broken leg of the 2FL, plus other injuries, pain and property damages. The poor farmer received only the money he lost, but nothing for his pain and loss of future income due to the broken leg. The 2FL received absolutely no money for her injuries either. And the FL only apologized to the 2FL because she was forced to. The writers made her like a saint who couldn't possibly have avoided this.
The MLs mother was a mean bully who wanted to control everything and everyone, especially her son. She hated the FL to the end and planned all kinds of bad things to get rid of her. She had already decided on a daughter in law, no matter that her son didn't like that other woman. Such mother in law is unacceptable; if she could even think of doing all these bad things to someone else, this woman is rotten.
I just watched two episodes and it's unbelievable how all these rich people can use money to get away with anything. Not a care in the world for their own family members, and certainly not anyone else. The super rich girl breaks some stuff, escapes and a guy saves her. He and his brother almost get killed by the bad guys because of her as they don't have money to pay the bad guys, but at no moment would she admit that her family is rich and can pay. They end up suffering but she gets away. What kind of thinking is that ? A character like this shouldn't even exist. It's the epitome of selfishness.
As written in one of the reviews, there are way too many coincidences, in Bangkok, a city of about 15 million people including suburbs, which is way over the top for a drama. It always just happens that all these people and events are somehow connected for the purpose of the drama. After a while, it just becomes plain stupid.
Ep 1 was so touching and sad at the concert. Many bad things happened in the FL's life, especially on that day, and she is all alone outside the concert venue. But she is still trying to enjoy the songs she can hear, while stuck in a wheelchair, out in the cold. Regardless of everything, she's still positive and happy to hear her favorite singer and be that close to him. I almost cried!
I really don't understand the crossing scene at the end of ep 2. It's dark, raining and the FL begins to cross the street without looking at the cars driving fast. She almost gets hit, the car honks, and she backs off on the sidewalk. Then she closes her eyes, counts, and begins to cross again right as she opens her eyes , not checking the traffic at all. She's lucky the ML saved her midway, narrowly avoiding a car. In her previous like, she got hit while crossing the street and became disabled. You'd think that since she's back in time she would be extra careful while crossing the street to avoid an accident. Why would the writers add this scene? It doesn't make sense that she would act so carelessly given that she knows the risks. Any normal person would never cross a 4 lane street, with speeding traffic without checking for cars first. And certainly not keep their eyes closed before blindly taking a step onto the crosswalk. So why add this completely illogical scene to the drama ?
I can't go past episode 2. The FL's reaction to the offer is ridiculous. She's go no money and barely any jobs but would refuses 2 billions for easy acting as a wife for 3 years? The chairman wanting to control his grandchild by marrying him to a rich girl to benefit the company, knowing there's no love. The old chairman is dividing his family and putting them against each other instead of having a united family. The constant involvement of the younger brother is too much and I find it too aggravating. The FL getting drunk with the younger brother and climbing in the chairman's car without even realizing it's not a taxi was the last straw: I hate drunk females who loose all sense of shame, have no respect for their own bodies and act out of control.
It took only 1 visit to the spa to clean the FL's face and probably 1 visit to the doctor to remove her mole. It wasn't so expensive so why didn't they do it before? She was like that for years!
