FANTASTIC Drama! What an epic story telling and amazing performances. This drama has the whole package which only proves to show the effort that went behind this. One of my top C-dramas! Esther and Dylan - wow what a performance! Cannot forget Changheng too. This drama is an embodiment of how dramas of this genre should be (at least in story telling).

Ahhh, listening to the OSTs, especially Faye's one, is so heartbreaking but they are SO good. This drama is a gold standard for this type of genre but dramas in general have a lot of good things to pick up from this masterpiece . So much love and dedication went into this, that much is obvious because so many elements just went so great together.

Looking forward for more great performances and dramas from the three main leads (plus the production team).

Also a shoutout to Dylan's dubber - did not know it wasn't him who dubbed his character. DFCQ's appeal is maximised further by not only Dylan's amazing (like, really amazing) performance, but also by the way the lines were delivered with the voice.

The three leads could not have been casted any more perfectly and Esther is such a revelation to me. From a cutesy to a mature woman - she played it all impressively. I'm a fan!

I think creators planned it, but ALP was not a big hit - it still performed good in some aspects, but got a lot…
Oh I see. I really hope they do it though and keep the same actors for the role, for the main ones at least. The visual effects are OUTSTANDING on this one and it really merges smoothly with the actors. So satisfying to watch, I wish to see this quality more and more going forward so I really, really hope that when they make a sequel, they make it all with the same team 🙈

Would there be a possibility of Tian Qi and Yue Mi having their own story? Im on ep 16 and saw passing comments about Yue Mi not having a good ending. From what Ive seen so far, I reallyyy love TQ and YM’s pairing, especially YM’s character. Would love to see a separate story about them, the actors who played them are perfect for the roles. I can already imagine an angsty, heartbreaking storytelling what with YM having an unrequited love.

This was quite sad but the whole story had a wonderful twist. Such a short drama but executed nicely. I wish it was longer though because this left me with lingering attachment regarding Hotaru and Kuro, if only they could follow up with a story. I felt like there was more there between them.

Could have been a quality film but they made the plot too contrived it ended up being tacky instead. It was interesting though and kept me watching.

There are 6 episodes subbed by week (2 on thursday, friday, sunday). According to the schedule posted in the "photos"…
I suppose that's June right? Good to know thank you

When does the English sub for this officially finish? It does say it airs until 20th May but do the subs get added much later on? I wouldn't want to start it and then have to wait weeks later for the other half lol

Does the drama improve/develop after the 10 episodes or will it pretty much have a similar vibe? I'm on episode 10 and the first few episodes were very good but just not feeling the same excitement I did at the start. Also, for the amount of episodes still to go, there doesn't seem much plot/story to stretch out without it dragging way too much.

Really enjoyed the beginning episodes and though there's been a few questionable actions so far, I want to see how the overall story will pan out.

Agree with a lot of your points. At most, this felt more like ads strung together, pretty and visually pleasing but I'd argue some ads have better storytelling/plot than this one did. So much great potential but the basic factors of a story were very underdeveloped or not developed at all. More than who ends up with who, it's the whole process of getting there that really made this fall flat for me.
I personally liked Yook Jo out of all of them, managed to evoke more emotions out of me and felt the most natural. I felt like Jojo's characterisation lacked direction. She was just lost and apparently confused the whole time. Hye Yeong could have been portrayed with more personality, it felt like there was more to unravel with his character but ended up only as someone who loves Jojo unconditionally and I'm not convinced his feelings are really reciprocated.

Really contradicting female character here. I'm on episode 3 and when she asked him what's so special about him that they've got people chasing him I got so confused. Aren't the blue eyes and his electric powers not enough of a reason? And they can't seem to decide if she's to be kind to him or not. This non-logic is really frustrating because the story has potential but the inconsistency and these minor character details really detracts from the whole experience.

I was expecting a great drama based off of reviews and the wonderful actors but I DID NOT expect that chemistry!!!! Wow, they're sooo good together! I wish I had more willpower and waited for the last three weeks before I started this lol

I cringed all the way to the end but this was really good. The growth and maturity of the characters was really what made this work and I was so convinced by the couple together. Despite the second hand embarrassment which did mellow out towards the end, the story will keep you watching and you’ll end up loving the characters.
