❤❤❤ Perfect Rom-com ❤❤❤ A masterpiece !

I hesitated for a long time before watching this drama, because I'm a little tired of Office Romances and the cold and arrogant CEO plot / poor but warm FL.

Eventually, I watch it for Ahn Hyo Seop.

And I haven't regretted it at any moment. It's almost a masterpiece of its kind, almost PERFECT.

- The rhythm is lively, with a total mastery of the balance humour/romance/emotion.

- The story is realistic (the CL is a bit like Mary Sue & Gary Stu :) anyway) but the whole thing is brought to life by great actors.
The FL is smart, strong (it changes nicely) and the ML brilliantly achieves the Hate=>love evolution. Honestly, we all dream of a lover like that...
The secondary characters are well developed and endearing: the best friend, the assistant (the CL2) are adorable and touching; Grand father ; the members of Team 1; etc
I haven't developed a 2LS for the friend of the love triangle, who is annoying with his indecision, his blandness. But the actor is great in this role to have interpreted such a borring character.
There are no evil characters, the bad-evil-selfish girl ready to do anything for her interests (the chef's girlfriend remains more or less within the malevolent standards).

- Technically too, it's excellent! The special effects and sound effects give spice to the scenes, the OSTs are catchy.

Conclusion: don't miss this drama if you want to relax, dream a little and smile (a lot)!

J'ai longuement hésité avant de regardé ce drama, car je suis un peu fatiguée des Office Romances et du plot CEO froid et arrogant / FL pauvre mais chaleureuse.

Finalement, je me suis lancée pour Ahn Hyo Seop.

Et je ne l'ai pas regretté un instant. C'est quasiment un chef d’œuvre du genre, presque PARFAIT.

- Le rythme est vif, avec une totale maitrise de l'équilibre humour/ romantisme/émotion.

- La story est réaliste (le CL est un peu Mary & Peter Sue :) quand même)mais l'ensemble est mis en vie par de supers acteurs.
La FL est intelligente, forte (ça change agréablement) et le ML réalise avec brio l'évolution Hate=>love. Franchement, on rêve toutes d'un lover comme ça...
Les personnages secondaires sont bien développés et attachants : la meilleure amie, l'assistant (le CL2) sont adorables et touchants ; le grand-père ; les membres de la Team 1 ; etc.
Je n'ai pas développé de 2LS pour l'ami du triangle amoureux, qui est énervant avec son indécision, ses atermoiements perpétuels. Mais c'est tout le talent de l'acteur d'avoir interprété un tel personnage.
Il n'y a pas evil characteres, peste prête à tout pour ses intérêts (la girlfriend du chef cuisinier reste à peu près dans les normes malveillantes).

- Techniquement aussi, c'est excellent ! Les effets spéciaux et bruitages donnent du piquant aux scènes, les OST sont entrainantes.

Conclusion : ne ratez pas ce drama si vous voulez vous détendre, rêver un peu et sourire (beaucoup) !

Mon meilleur Cdrama de tous les temps

J'ai adoré ce drama, vu d'une seule traite et revu plusieurs fois. Les personnages (tous, y compris les 2aires) sont attachants et le CL trop mignon.
La FL est agaçante (trop) dans ses hésitations, dans sa soumission à sa mère, mais c'est peut-être un aspect culturel ?
Chacun s'émeut de voir le coeur de Loa Han (merveilleusement interprété par Li Xian, toujours génial) se réchauffer peu à peu, et le spectateur meurt d'envie de voir ce couple heureux, après avoir du surmonter tant de difficultés.

- Contexte intéressant et bien décrit,
- super acteurs (même les acteurs secondaires comme les "petits champions" auxquels on s'attache très vite). Je suppose que ce drama sera un excellent levier pour certains, vers des rôles principaux
- excellents OST (en particulier "Icould not leave, chanté par Dimash) mais tous les OST sont mémorables !

A voir (et revoir) absolument...

Excellent thriller series starring Jong & Dunk

PLOT: Police Captain Jade investigates the death of a girl in a group of eight college friends, including his brother. A new inspector just arrived from the US, Kamin, joins the team. Jade and Kamin have very different methods and personalities, but they are strongly attracted to each other, despite their initial rivalry. This bond will strengthen as the series of murders unfolds ("And Then There Were None").

+++ Superb cast: Jong & Dunk have a very natural rapport and chemistry. Boom & Aou also appear in the series. Ohm & Chimon also play convincingly troubled/flawed teenagers.
+++ Coherent story, with suspense maintained until the very end.

+++ The storyline remains the same, but [probably due to cultural differences] the events are more logical, better presented, and the behaviors seem more natural.

+++ Here, the interactions within the CL are natural, the chemistry is obvious, and there is a ton of kisses and skinship (which seems natural when you're in love :).

PLOT: A restaurant has been run till 30 years by Aisha, two of her old friends, and a son (Merxat). Aisha's adopted son, (ML), a painter, decides to abandon his studies and take over the restaurant (to keep the "family" together) when he learns that Aisha has a brain tumor. A mysterious gourmet appears to give advice to ML and help him revive the struggling restaurant. ML has long been in love with his childhood friend (FL), who is dedicated to wildlife conservation. Competitors emerge (restaurant and love).

+++ A host of formidable actors, bringing deeply moving characters to life. I wasn't familiar with Bai Lu Fan, but I'll definitely be following his work now ٩(◕‿◕｡)۶
+++ Sublime cinematography: landscapes, shots, sets, and the showcasing of local culture (cuisine, music, crafts, etc.).
+++ The pacing of the narrative fits the slice-of-life genre, and the story is realistic and coherent (or almost :). It's a series that highlights relationships (and not just blood ties), the value of kindness and benevolence. There are greedy, unscrupulous businessmen, but no great villains.
+++ Superb OSTs.

### The CGI (animals) is of poor quality, and you have to be forgiving to believe in the goodwill of the snow leopard (in the middle of the desert :).
### The two romances are sweet, but there isn't a single kiss in the entire drama...
### The FL's voice (dubbled ?) is unbearable :(

The ML and the (amnesiac) FL meet, both wounded, in a village of doctors. The ML decides to take her to Susha to uncover the truth behind this unusual battle.

+++ Excellent directors: the cinematography is an aesthetical perfection : sets, costumes, effects, lighting, framing, action scenes. Perfect! Furthermore, the pacing is fast, with no dull moments.
+++ The actors deliver a brilliant performance, bringing to life complex, tortured, yet endearing characters (even Jinxiu's borderline emperor :)
+++ The OSTs perfectly complement the atmosphere.

=> It's an addictive, intense series that I watched in one sitting (I'm definitively a binge-watcher :), and I'll rewatch it with a really pleasure.

Le ML et la FL (amnésique) se retrouvent, blessés dans un village de médecins. Le ML décide de l'emmener à Susha pr découvrir ce qui se cache derrière cette bataille anormale.

PLOT: The FL, elite modern soldier, during a mission, comes across a dagger which sends her to a historical world. Lots of martial arts & magic. There she meets the 4th Prince whom she marries. Together, they go on an investigation and face multiple adventures. The FL wants to discover her origins (to return to her world), helped by the ML (ultimate savior) & 2 handsome guys (musician/prince of Dongling and wandering hunter).
- 1st narrative arc in the territory of Tianque with rivalries in the Court, family, and with the neighboring kingdom of Xiling.
- 2nd story arc: Lu Island to cure the ML.
- 3rd arc: Nanzhao (powerful and aggressive kingdom, with a lot of magic) & Lu Island & the Merfolks
- 4th narrative arc: a bit of all the kingdoms.

PLOT: The ML is a (promising) investor manager and the FL, his subordinate. When the ML creates his company, and the FL follows him. But he is betrayed by his assistant. The FL, unemployed, returns to her hometown, specializing in porcelain. Her uncle operates the family factory ("vampirized" by the aunt). The ML, not wanting to abandon the Great City Development Project that it set up, is also coming there. They will collaborate, set up the FL ceramics workshop, and try to solve problems.

La FL, au chômage, retourne dans sa ville natale, spécialisée dans la porcelaine. Son oncle fait fonctionner l'ent. familiale ("vampirisée" par la tante). Le ML ne voulant pas abandonner le Gd Projet de développement de la ville qu'il a monté, y vient également. Ils vont collaborer, monter l'atelier de céramique de la FL, et essayer de résoudre les problèmes.

+++ Si on aime la céramique, le thème est intéressant.

### Rythme lent, lent.
### J'aimais bien les 2 leads (Victoria Song & Vic Zhou), mais, dans cette série, le visage figé/désabusé de Vic Zhou et les lèvres "bec de canard" (visiblement trop de chirurgie esthétique) de Victoria Song m'ont empêché d'adhérer aux personnages. CL sans alchimie.
### Le personnage de la tante sournoise est très bien jouée : on la déteste !

Excellent ROM-HIST with a bunch of famous actors ( particulary Leo Wu and Zhao LuSi in CL).

PLOT: Meeting between 1 "rebel" and poorly educated FL and 1 ML, general, adopted son of the emperor (cold, seeking revenge for the death of his father, etc.). Over the course of adventures and wars, they become closer, but the FL gets engaged to an ML4 (to escape her mother, an authoritarian female general). Subsequently, this engagement was abandoned and the emperor wanted her to marry the ML. He gets engaged to the FL, but he abandons her to pursue his revenge.

Au fil des aventures et des guerres, les liens se resserrent, mais la FL se fiance à un ML4 (pour échapper à sa mère, générale autoritaire). Par la suite, ces fiançailles sont abandonnées et l'empereur veut marier le ML. Il se fiance à la FL, mais il l'abandonne pour poursuivre sa vengeance.

+ Un super CL avec Leo Wu & Zhao LuSi
+ Personnages attachants (le couple impérial, la famille de la FL), bien développés, psychologiquement cohérents.

PLOT: 1e arc narratif : Le ML, 1 jeune Dieu désinvolte, recueille et élève 1 Goutte d'eau glacée. Ayant pris forme humaine, elle devient sa cadette dans 1 secte d'immortelle. Cpdt, elle est maltraitée par les immortels du Palais Céleste (dont 1 rivale amoureuse) et finit par mourrir des mains du ML. 2e arc narratif : la FL réapparait en 1/2 déesse Phoenix, et va combattre les Villains, avec l'aide du ML et de ses amis.

+ Brillant CL avec Wang An Yu & Zhao Lu Xi (toujours aussi talentueux) (ര̀ᴗര́)و ̑̑
+ un excellent cast général, avec des personnages bien développés, attachants. La romance secondaire est aussi très cute.

PLOT: meeting and confrontation between 2 chefs, through a guild rule: one chef can challenge another. The loser of the competition, loses his knife and closes his restaurant. The FL (sous chef of a restaurant where the ML "won the knife"), wants to avenge his master. The ML, chef of another restaurant, wants "to kill" the head of the guild, his grandfather, who expelled his father, who later died.

PROS:
+ The context is weird, but relatively plausible.
+ Beautiful kitchen images.
+ handsome actors (ML & ML2)

CONS:
- poorly written story and production that lacks balance: the romance drags on with unnecessary misunderstandings, then is "botched" in a few episodes, and does not even have a satisfactory ending.
- some characters are poorly constructed: the F's father, the cousin, the sister obsessed with the ML, the ML2's sister, etc.
- Fed up with anorexic actresses: Yakisa, here, is pitiful!!! Also, NOTHING about her character is believable (๑•ิཬ•ั๑)
She seems in love with her brother/a 25 year old anorexic genius cook? seriously ?? / She's a Marie-Sue, who knows how to shoot a rifle, ride a motorcycle, is great in the kitchen, etc.
- I dislike Zhang Miao Yi's childish look and voice

La FL (sous-chef d'1 restaurant dont le ML "a gagné le couteau"), veut venger son maître. Le ML, chef d'un autre restaurant, veut abattre le chef de la guilde, son grand-père, qui a expulsé son père, décédé ensuite.

PROS:
+ Le contexte est chelou, mais relativement plausible.
+ De belles images de cuisine.
+ des acteurs handsome (ML & ML2)

CONS:
- story mal écrite et réalisation qui manque d'équilibre : la romance traine en longueur sur des malentendus inutiles, puis est "bâclée" en quelques épisodes, et n'a même pas de fin satisfaisante.
- certains personnages sont mal construits : le père de la FL, le cousin, la sœur obsédée par le ML, la sœur du ML2, etc.
- Ras le bol des actrices anorexiques : Yakisa, ici, fait pitié !!! De plus, RIEN dans son personnage n'est crédible (๑•ิཬ•ั๑) Elle semble amoureuse de son frère / une cuisinière de génie, anorexique de 25 ans ? sérieux ?? / C'est une Marie-Sue, qui sait tirer à la carabine, faire de la moto, est géniale en cuisine, etc.
- J'ai un peu de mal avec le look puéril et la voix de Zhang Miao Yi

Le fameux ministre décide de faire tuer le Prince. Celui-ci survit grâce au père adoptif de la FL, mais il est amnésique. Tous les célibataires ayant reçu l'ordre de se marier, la FL épouse l'homme recueilli par son père.

PROS:
+ Série addictive, avec D.O. qui est absolument magistral dans ce rôle.
+ Tous les acteurs sont excellents.
+ Story bien écrite, avec un suspense constant
+ Réalisation dynamique et intelligente, avec de très beaux décors, costumes, cadrages.

PLOT: The ML, 3rd son (born of a concubine) disadvantaged by his father, uncle of the emperor, joins the daughter of a general, the FL, at the head of a large army. They have to fight against a coup upon the death of the emperor. There are many conflicts and intrigues. Eventually the ML's father proclaims himself emperor, but the plots continue for the succession.

PROS:
+ An excellent CL with Xu Kai & Jing Tian as a warrior, valiant, intelligent couple. Xu Kai shows here all of his talent, all of his emotions in a wide variety of micro-expressions. Handsome, yes, but also talented ☆✲ﾟ｡(((´♡‿♡`+)))｡ﾟ✲☆
+ endearing 2ary characters.
+ magnificent settings and costumes. Some scenes are superb (fight in the Throne Hall around the coffin, in particular)

- Low quality CGI (green background too obvious during certain scenes).
- OST volume too high compared to the dialogues.

- CGI low quality (fond vert trop trop évident sur certaines scènes).
- volume des OST trop fort par rapport aux dialogues.
- Toujours les mêmes acteurs qui jouent les villains (c'est désolant pour eux), donc le spectateur sait dès leur apparition qu'elle va être leur évolution ;)
