Short drama (10 episodes) telling the story of young adults in co-living and the romance between 1 psychiatrist and 1 novice novelist.
Based on the reviews, either we hate it or we love it. Me, I loved it!

What I liked ;
- Modern tone (topics covered: cohabitation, loneliness, marriage, pregnancy, infertility, adoption, etc.)
- dynamic rythm,
- No twist or evil character.
- no cliché (CEO, amnesia, "white truck of doom",...)
- the story is realistic
+ The actors are excellent (I know, I love Ji Hyun Woo, but I was delighted with his performance in this show once again)

What I disliked:
- ALL the roommates are handsome. Sorry, that's not believable, unless you think all Koreans come out of a modeling agency :)
- the background of some co-tenants remains very vague, in particular the experience of the owner.

The OSTs are well suited to the different emotions transmitted, without taking up too much space.

Really nice set.

D'après les commentaires, soit on déteste, soit on adore. Moi, j'ai adoré !

Ce que j'ai aimé ;
- Ton actuel (thèmes abordés : cohabitation, solitude, mariage, grossesse, infertilité, adoption, etc.)
- réalisation rapide.

Ce que j'ai moins aimé :
- TOUS les co-locataires sont handsome. Désolée, ce n'est pas crédible, à moins de penser que tous les coréens sortent d'une agence de mannequinat :)
- le background de certains co-locataires reste très flou, notamment le vécu du propriétaire.

Les OST sont bien adaptées aux différentes émotions transmises, sans prendre une place excessive.

Pour moi la meilleure version de HYD

J'en ai vu beaucoup : chinoises, japonaise, coréenne, adaptations,... Je craignais une version répétitive, juste actualisée de ce manga.
Mais j'ai été scotchée dès le 1er épisode !

PROS :
- Le rythme est rapide (tout tient en 16 épisodes).
- Le ton est assez sombre, parfois violent.
- Les personnages sont forts, actuels.
- Ce drama ne veut pas en faire trop. Il évite les failles de Meteor Garden 2018 avec des stories annexes ou des parties abracadabrantes (ile déserte, mariage surprise, etc.). L'ensemble reste relativement réaliste.
- Les OST sont excellentes.

FLAWS :
- Les costumes de Thyme, sans doute luxueux, sont de très mauvais goût. Quel designer/créateur l'a habillé pour ce drama ?
- Faire tenir une longue histoire en 16 épisodes, ne permet pas d'accorder beaucoup d'importance au background des personnages secondaires.

Une version actuelle, violente, dynamique de HYD, qui rafraichit agréablement l'histoire.

Excellent med-investigation drama in an unusual setting

Excellent medical / investigation drama, set in an unusual setting: that of a dilapidated hospital on Zal Island, with few resources, few staff and a poorly educated population to treat.

The plot follows a team of Chinese caregivers who come for 2 years to help local hospital staff.
The topics covered are of course classic in a med-drama (life, death, suffering, family/caregiver decisions, cost and financing of care, etc.) but also epidemics, viruses, drug research, clinical experimentation,...

The actors are excellent, all of them! The CL is very endearing (I have become a fan of TonyYang ❤❤❤, his casual, charming character,... is just too cute) and their interactions are too rare, because their chemistry makes you want to have more intimate moments together on screen.
But the secondary characters are well developed and skillfully played. The psychology of the characters is coherent, subtle. We are attached to this team of caregivers whose cohesion, support, friendship, are the pillars in the face of the disease.
There is no real evil character, perverse or Machiavellian, because even the "great villain" have credible motivations.

The production is neat, quite dynamic and the images are beautiful. They make you want to discover this isolated island.
Nothing special on the OST.

I highly recommend this drama, which I will probably rewatch.

A really nice drama, which highlights the strength of love, friendship, family, kindness. The actors do a great job, create a real alchemy.

Finally a Chinese drama that shows a lot of real kisses, hugs, realistic behaviors within the lead couple!

The context is deeply rooted in Chinese culture (hard work, only child, respect for elders, place of women and strong discrimination between men and women, particularly in the professional but also personal context).

This story is positive, feel-good, without length, and all the women will be moved by the ML, handsome, tenacious, attentive and ready to do anything to protect his wifei.

Failed Thai university BL with 3 couples (including a nonsensical one)

PLOT: Gui, a sweet and cheerful student with a part-time job at a cafe, meets Solo (a popular but distant student) one night when he's having trouble sleeping. He makes him a cup of milk. As they share more cups of milk, their relationship deepens and becomes romantic (1 love rival -> but quickly out).
Kao (Gui's friend) has a crush on Phuri, an older student with a terrible reputation due to a fight. Phuri is also unapproachable, but Kao's enthusiasm eventually wins Phuri over.
The cafe also employs Khim, a huge BL fan, who is convinced that two doctors who frequent the cafe daily, Perth and Petch, are a future couple. Petch is in love with Khim but agrees to pretend to be gay because Khim is sick (...it's so absurd, I'd rather stop there).

+++ I really like Nut Supanut

### The storytelling is slow. The plot twists are poorly executed, artificial, or too predictable.

PLOT : Gui, a sweet & cheerful student qui a un part-time job ds 1 café, rencontre Solo, (étudiant populaire mais distant avec tt le monde) un soir où celui-ci a du mal à dormir. Il lui fait une tasse de lait. Au fil des tasses de lait, leur relat° s'approfondit jusqu'à devenir romantique (1 love rival -> Out).
Kao (Gui's friend) a 1 crush sur Phuri, étudiant + âgé avec réputat° désastreuse à cause d'1 bagarre. Celui-ci est aussi peu accessible, mais l'enthousiasme de Kao finit par attendrir Phuri.
Le café emploie aussi Khim, gde fan de BL, qui est convaincue que 2 médecins qui fréquentent quotidiennement le café, Perth & Petch, sont 1 futur couple. Petch est amoureux de Khim, mais accepte de se faire passer pr gay car Khim est malade (... c'est tellement absurde, que je préfère arrêter là).

Why can they have a cast and a budget for such a poorly written story?

There, he meets Tew (Yuri in the game, whom Guy thought was a girl), who is later revealed to be the right-hand of a gang leader. To protect Guy, Tew eventually leaves him. But...

+++ Meen (a good actor with a very natural style) and Ping (acting skills need improvement) in CL. They are cute together, but Ping's character is quite annoying.
+++ Fast-paced, but the editing is too rushed.

### The story is incoherent, VERY poorly written, with a "Kenji" narrative arc that doesn't hold water.
### The direction is clumsy, lacking essential transitions and development. As a result, it's impossible to get invested in the story.

PLOT: A straight man with orgasm problems hires a therapist for four sessions. The therapist will help him discover/explore his true sexuality.

+++ Kudos to the actors! (They must have been in good physical shape :) Seriously, it takes courage to be so vulnerable (so exposed) in a performance.
+++ The direction is masterful: the symbolism of the colors, the alternation between reality (the bed) and the bare setting (emotions), the perfectly controlled pacing, the beauty of the visuals (it's not porn, it's almost art/dance), etc.

This series tries to be a romantic comedy, but it's stupid and has an unbearable FL!

PLOT: A young couple dies in a car accident, leaving behind a 2-year-old child. The child's aunt (the mother's sister) and the baby's uncle (the father's brother) move in temporarily to care for the child. The ML, a photographer, has taken parental leave, and the FL starts a new job. She then realizes that her boss is her first love. ML and FL will face co-parenting and learn to appreciate each other.

+++ The ML is adorable, a tsundere, cute as a button.
+++ The kid is so cute he'd melt everyone's hearts.

That's it for the good points... Everything else is unbearable!

I only get through this mess for Peat and Fort.

PLOT: Kelvin, the legitimate son of Kapath, CEO of the King Group, is being exploited by his father for the benefit of his illegitimate son Ken. Veir, heir of the VPG Group, helps Kelvin get out of this mess, and they have a one-night stand. Veir then helps Kelvin create his own hotel, they rekindle a romantic relationship, Kelvin takes power in the King Group, but he betrays Veir by allying himself with his rival. VPG is ruined, Kelvin kills Lalit (Veir's assistant). Veir hides in Chiang Mai for a year (helping Nana) but when he went back, is kidnapped by Kelvin.

+++ Peat and Fort in CL. Fort is handsome and charismatic, while Peat once again portrays someone mentally unstable, even psycho (a role he's certainly talented at, but it would be nice if he tried something else). However, it must be said that they still have incredible chemistry.

WHO wrote the script? He/she deserves the award for worst screenplay ever written! ヾ (✿＞﹏ ⊙〃)ノ

PLOT: Tong (a supposedly hemophiliac orphan) leaves the orphanage with his friend Tonkla to go to university. Tong takes odd jobs (waiter), during which he cuts himself. Mark (the ML, a vampire tasked with secretly protecting Tong until he turns 21) intervenes to prevent Tong's Golden Blood from attracting all the other vampires in the area, especially Nakan. Mark gradually gets closer to Tong, protecting him from all those who want his Golden Blood.

PLOT: Tong (orphelin soi-disant hémophile) part de l'orphelinat avec son pote Tonkla à l'université. Tong prend des petits boulots (serveur), au cours duquel il se coupe. Mark (le ML, vampire chargé de protéger Tong secrètement jusqu'à ses 21 ans), intervient alors pr que le Golden Blood de Tong n'attire pas ts les autres vampires du coin, notamment Nakan. Mark va se rapprocher peu à peu de Tong, pr le mettre à l'abri de ts ceux qui veulent son Golden Blood.

PLOT: The MC, Sky, from a poor family, gets recruited (with difficulty) as an intern at a large cake company. After a rocky start, Ace and Sky grow closer and do everything they can to win a cake competition. Furious about the Ace/Sky relationship, Moira, Sky's ex (bitchy), wants revenge.

Guideverse series probably written by an AI (but with great actors)

PLOT: In 2051, a virus from another universe created Yin and Ren beings on Earth. The ML, Xie Xin Xu, is a powerful Ren whom Si Yuan (the FL's brother and a member of the Surveillance Bureau) tried to tame (through torture). Xie Xin Xu takes on a new identity and marries Nong Yu, a Yin, the FL, a researcher who wants to find a cure for the virus. But the Surveillance Bureau does everything to prevent the creation of a cure.

+++ The two leads are spectacular, with intense chemistry. I've become a die-hard fan of Cui Yu Xin. And I'd love to see him in CL with Fang Jin again.
+++ Effective direction, with good pacing, good effects, and a great OST.

### A very weird storyline that only got through censorship because it's supposed to be sci-fi. The twists (and there are tons of them) come one after another at an unreasonable rate. It's full of nonsense, inconsistencies, and incongruous things. I wonder if the script wasn't written by an AI that threw a bit of Twilight, a bit of ABO Desire, a bit of sci-fi, a bit of Game of Thrones, etc., into a shaker.

Mais le Bureau de Surveillance fait tt pour empêcher la création d'1 médicament.

+++ Les 2 leads sont spectaculaires, avec une alchimie intense. Je suis devenue une hard-die fan de Cui Yu Xin. Et j'aimerai bcp le revoir en CL avec Fang Jin.

BL with a mafia boss (but nothing like KinnPorsche :( )

PLOT: A mafia boss (Kamol) with BDSM and gay tastes can't find a guy to satisfy him until he meets Kim, an ordinary guy trying to get over his crush on his senior. Kamol pursues Kim, gets him to move in with him, and asks him to adapt to his way of life (love rival woman, competitors in the market, etc.)... under close surveillance.

+++ Filmed during the pandemic, the series takes place in a few locations with a limited number of actors.
+++ OSTs not too intrusive.

### The story is VERY poorly written ＼(〇_ｏ)／ The BDSM aspect isn't explored, OK, but the mafia setting isn't believable at all!! We wonder what the tigers are doing there (to gain sympathy? for decoration?). The dialogue is flat. So many predictable twists...
### The villains are also VERY poorly written (⊙﹏⊙✿)

=> Disappointing series. Go watch KinnPorsche if you haven't already :)

BL avec mafia boss (mais on est très loin de KinnPorsche :( )

PLOT: Un mafia boss (Kamol) ayant des goûts BDSM + gay, ne trouve aucun mec pr le satisfaire jusqu'à sa rencontre avec Kim, mec ordinaire qui essaie d'oublier son crush sur 1 senior. Kamol poursuit Kim, le fait aménager chez lui et lui demande de s'adapter (femme love rival, concurrents s/ marchés, etc.)... sous haute surveillance.

+++ Tournée pdt la pandémie, la série se déroule ds qq sites, avec un nbre limité d'acteurs.
+++ OSTs pas trop intrusifs.

### La story est TRES mal écrite ＼(〇_ｏ)／ Le côté SM n'est pas exploité, OK, mais le contexte Mafia n'est pas crédible du tout !! On se demande ce que les tigres viennent faire là (pr s'attirer les sympathies ? pour faire joli ?). Les dialogues sont plats, les twists tellement attendus, ...
### Les Villains sont aussi TRES mal écrits (⊙﹏⊙✿)

Good start, disappointed by the second half (despite Yin's talent)

PLOT: In an engineering school, romances unfold between two groups of students (seniors and juniors): Mark, a junior, is in love with Bar, a senior on the swim team. He confesses his feelings and is rejected (Bar already has a boyfriend). Vee (a senior) helps Mark through this, and one drunken night, they sleep together. Vee has a girlfriend, Ploy. But later, Vee discovers that Ploy is a two-timer. They take a break, and Mark helps Vee get over it. Mark and Vee end up together. A misunderstanding with Ploy leads to a breakup. Vee does everything to make amends. Reconciliation and meetings with their parents follow.

+++ Excellent Yin. For me, War's face lacks micro-expressions.
+++ All the difficulties of coming out for someone who thought he was straight. In this part, the psychological development of the characters is well thought out.
+++ Engaging beginning, but the rest is more plodding.

### The story gets lost in the second half. Did they change screenwriters? The evolution of the Vee/Ploy relationship isn't consistent: why a break? Not a breakup? Why, when the break lasts weeks (months) and Vee has a new boyfriend, do the other students think the relationship with Ploy isn't over?
### That cliché of "let me explain" -> "No, I don't want to hear it." (ಠ益ಠщ) again, creating unnecessarily break-ups and prolonging the series.

=> Good start, disappointed by the second half (despite Yin's talent).

### Story qui se perd ds la 2e partie. Ils ont changé de screenwriter ? L'évolut° de la relat° Vee / Ploy n'est pas cohérente : pourquoi un break ? pas une rupture ? Pourquoi, qd le break dure des semaines (mois) et que Vee a un nouveau lover, les autres étudiants pensent que la relation avec Ploy n'est pas finie ?
### Encore ce cliché de "laisse moi t'expliquer" -> "Non, je ne veux rien entendre". щ(ಠ益ಠщ) qui créée des break-up et prolonge inutilement la série.

=> Bon début, déçue par la 2e moitié (malgré le talent de Yin).
