Title LOVE.exe
"Queer representation" unless you're asexual/apothisexual.
It represents some while alienating others. It's definitely not the most comfortable show to watch for the As of LGBTQIA+ who are tired of everything being so overly sexualized.

loving this drama! each character has a fully fleshed out narrative and we’ve got some queer representation,…

If having morals makes me weird then so be it. I'd rather be weird than a degenerate.
Yes, the way it's been turned into a confusing spectrum is what I'm referring to.

I don't like to use the term "asexual" to describe myself since I think it's meaningless to have a word for what I believe would be the default if not for societal pressures. I think labels are problematic overall (since sexual orientation is a social construct), and people have also started using "asexual" too broadly. I identify more with many of the beliefs shared in the antisex subreddit.

Whether or not most of the population correlates them is irrelevant when it's determined by societal influence (nurture over nature). You defined fetishization as "the attribution of sexuality to a non-sexual object or situation". Personalities are not sexual. When people use those terms, they're not only fetishizing but stereotyping.

I hope you don't consider yourself some kind of LGBTQIA+ advocate when you're here watching a BL for the "plot" and making harmful generalizations by claiming that relationships between men are "sexual in nature" and therefore "can't be fetishized". While I personally think labels are worthless, people like you are the reason the A should stand for Alienated. The same goes for everyone who's been making inappropriate comments and jokes about this show.

If you are on his side, I don't trust you. He's a shallow, obsessive person who takes advantage of drunk people.
Sure, it was technically Daon's fault for getting drunk in the first place. But Seonghyeon should have resisted right away. They hadn't even established what their relationship was at that point.

If there are exceptions then they are not actually correlated, period. People are conditioned into thinking otherwise and it causes so many issues. Regardless, your argument has fallen apart then. Other evidence that people are fetishizing is when they refer to characters as "top" and "bottom" based on personality traits and stereotypes. It's become way too common and no one ever questions it.

Relationships are not inherently sexual in nature. Since romance is unrelated, people who identify as asexual can be in relationships too (whether they're both men or not). The fact that you think every relationship is sexual by default is a giveaway that you do fetishize them.

It's not my fault people keep responding to me. Everyone could just ignore me if they don't want to argue.

You all need to stop pretending like you actually care about the story and that you're not just here to fetishize men who are in relationships with other men.

So you think kissing people on the lips without consent is fine? And who knows what could have happened if Daon didn't say Jaemin's name. Getting this worked up over trying to defend a fictional character doesn't make you any better.

You're really grasping now with those examples. You know what I'm talking about. This drama is supposed to take place in the real world. There is actually debate over Sleeping Beauty too. If you look it up, you'll find several discussions about it.

What an insane comparison to make. This is an issue about violating someone's body.

Did you really just question the fact that I'm concerned about consent? Oof... Despite the "romance" label on this drama, I'm not seeing any romance in it. Just superficial fixation. If the characters are all flawed to the point of being irredeemable, then people truly don't have to choose one to feel invested in. Stories are often designed to teach lessons too, so if characters are still rewarded despite poor behavior, it just validates immorality and neither they or the audience end up learning anything valuable.

Since you didn't take the time to read other comments before replying: "Daon initiated it while drunk and was so out of his mind that he said someone else's name." Even if he initiated it, that does not count as consent when he's severely intoxicated.

You might think there's nothing wrong with his character, but I have a right to explain why I think there is. And despite the lack of comments here expressing it, I know I'm not the only one with this opinion. I have a friend who already did drop it.

Everyone's already bashing the darker characters. It wouldn't add anything to the discussion if that's all I did too. There's nothing wrong with bringing a fresh take to the table.
