Not at all, because only Ha Ru and Ha Na are 'time travelling'. None of the other people on the planet time travelled so they would only be aware of a singular timeline - which is the new 'changed' timeline. If any one of those other people on the planet time travelled with them then certainly, it would make sense for them to retain memories of the 'past versions' before the changes as well, but that is not the case here (as far as we know at this point anyway). The rest of the planet have only lived through the 'new timeline' without any memories of the older versions from time travel.

For me, personally, it doesn't actually make sense that Ha Ru and Ha Na are clueless upon their return... this isn't a case where there is a separate timeline or a parallel universe, what is happening is their 'conscious mind' from the future time is returning to their body of the past and then back to the future time. Even when the 'future conscious mind' returns to the future, Ha Ru and Ha Na do not poof out of existence, they still live out their lives toward the new future so a version of Ha Ru and Ha Na must live through the new experiences and retain those memories, it is stored in their body's memory bank so to speak. So the moment their conscious minds return to the older versions of those bodies in the future it would make far more sense to me if they were hit with a memory dump upon returning because their conscious minds would be back in the body that lived through the new experiences and had those memories stored.

Not sure if this is a good metaphor but if you think of when you do a software or game upgrade and the old files on the hardware (phone or pc) get integrated with the new files... the identical files remain the same (if you think of those as their old unchanged memories such as ones from childhood that didn't get effected by the time travel) but anything that has been improved or upgraded is added or replaces the old (the new memories they lived through after changes were made).

I felt the same, as a type 1 diabetic who has experiences with hypoglycaemia, that whole scene was difficult to watch. Wanting to make Chef Yeon the star of the show who can magically 'save the day' with her cooking is one thing, but there's no need to promote what not to do in a medical situation like that in the process... 😅

Fair enough, looking at it from a general perspective... but I guess Goblin and TOTNT received a lot of hype when they aired and a lot of people enjoy the fantasy/mythical genre on the whole...

Indeed they wouldn't be aware, although that can be said for any newer viewers of most actors and actresses but if their interest is sparked enough, a couple minutes of research will soon broaden their horizons.

I think it was the phrasing you used in your original comment that was misleading, in particular these words "While they have been good, a man of his caliber needs more diverse projects!"

The fact is, whether he takes the role in Divorce Insurance or not, he already has a lot of diverse projects and anyone who bothers to look up his filmography or even just his name will instantly come to know this. The issue lies in people bothering to do so.

On another note, My Girl was actually the very first drama of his I watched waaaaaay back in the day and was when I first became a fan~

After Goblin in 2016, he also acted as a righteous doctor in Life (2018), a psycho killer in Strangers from Hell (2019), an upright lawyer in Touch Your Heart (2019), then after Tale of the Nine Tailed, he acted as a corrupt cop in Bad and Crazy (2021), as someone else mentioned, a single writer in Single in Seoul and most recently an ex-mercenary in A Shop For Killer's (2024)... there's also the current drama he is busy filming - Good Man (which according to the synopsis seems like it will be about a family of gangsters)... that seems pretty diverse to me. I mean, 2 mythical-like roles (Grimreaper and Gumiho) compared to all that... doesn't seem like he has become type-casted.
