Does anyone know where in the book Episode 8 ended exactly?
Mo Du has 5 volumes with 180 main chapters. The tv episode ended in Volume 2, Chapter 50. The kidnapping case for the first girl Qu Tong begins in Chapter 39. Chenchen’s kidnapping was discovered in Chapter 45 but Chapter 42 also has a hint of what happened to her.
Since it’s likely the rest of the episodes may never be aired I am just going to go and re-read the novel again and use my imagination to act out the rest of the drama 🤡 Which is not that hard to do since the actors did an amazing job embodying these roles.
Even though they are both set in the same universe and Dr. Bun & Tan do make a cameo, you do not need to watch Manner of Death to understand this. But I will recommend watching both because they are both great dramas and worth the watch.

Does the cameo in ep 9 mean we could be getting more content for Professor Yoo and Jae Hyun? I loved them in Private Lessons and always wished their story was a full length drama

No worries. And I’m Tee Me Too is also not a BL. Even though the cast have acted in BL before they are all just friends in the show. No romance whatsoever between them.
Do I wish Nut & Taohu ended up together? Yes 1000%. But that does not change the fact that this was an amazing drama that spoke to so many issues for so many people that are normally glossed over, ridiculed or downright dismissed in this genre. So it doesn't make sense to me to rate it low based on just one episode. I think this ending makes this drama even more unforgettable to me
Which is not that hard to do since the actors did an amazing job embodying these roles.
