Will try and keep my review brief cos most of what I would say have already been said. First of all I only read a little of the translated version, but from what I’ve seen, the series made quite a few changes which I agree with. The characters in the series felt more mature and “realistic” as compared to the book which I stopped reading. Since I don’t speak Thai, maybe the earlier translations were not able to better capture what the authors wrote. I stand to be corrected if I’m wrong, and this is not to to disrespect either the authors or the translators. This series is by no means perfect, cos generally nothing is. But they did a great job in bringing these characters to fore. I can not speak to the reality of the show, but in any situation where there is a “major” and a “minor, conflicts are bound to happen, be it in family, relationship, business or otherwise. And I think the show managed to capture the struggles that people in such a position would go through. A lot of things have been left unsaid, and it’s my hope that these stories will be explored further. What secret did Gun try to disclose. Who really is Porsche’s mom. Why was there only one baby picture in Korn’s room, especially with Thanakun calling Kinn “his beloved son”. Who broke Tem’s heart and if it’s tied to Time and Tay’s story. And the enigma that is Korn. I would like to see the dynamics of Kinn & Porsche, Vegas & Pete, Kim & Chay and how they navigate their new roles. Gonna wait a while and then rewatch it to see if I missed any other details.
I am absolutely glad I waited to watch all this at once. What a ride. So much to say but first off amazing job by the cast and crew. Gonna try and get over my binge watch coma now
Will definitely have a lot to tell you. I’ve literally thrown everyone out of my room and put up a no disturbance sign 😂. It’s been torture staying off social media these past weeks to avoid spoilers
I could watch Lukchup smile and Phai be an overprotective best friend all day. What a cute group of friends they make. Overall a good series if you ignore the frustration with the final episodes.
Absolutley love the fact that I can watch this all in one go instead of waiting for weekly episodes. Wached this yeaterday and it was so good I had to rewatch again. Amazing work by the cast and crew and once again, one of my favourite directors delivers a rich and compelling story. While I love this story and its currently ranking as one of my best so far, I would have loved to see more of what made Da Un who he is. We got snippets but his story was not as fully explored as that of Si Won. Obvioulsy with the run time they had it, they've done very well. Definately going to read the manwha to see if it can fill the holes for me. Would like to encourage others as well to try and watch it on iQiyi if you can to support the cast and crew. Anyone can DM me for an invitaion link if they want to join or as someone suggeted, if that doesnt work, two episodes will be made available weekly. Even if you can't wait and watch through other means, we can always watch the episodes again when they release officially.
