This series was a bit slow at first but it's getting so good. I love the comedy that they threw in. I love the side characters but somehow I can't into Tanghua's love story. I prefer the interactions of the weapon's spirits and their stories.

I hope this series will get more recognition. Liu Xue Yi is a great actor but most of his series have not made it to give him the stardom he deserves.

Does anyone know if he's still getting drama offers like before? Seems like a really long break. He should strike when the iron is hot as this industry is quite brutal. I hope his team is not being picky as he's just starting to break out. It will hurt him in the long run. The Chinese economy not doing so great either so work might be even more competitive in the future.

As much I would love to see LYT in another drama, I think she needs a break. She has been filming nonstop this whole year. She's getting quite thin. I think she needs to take a breather and regroup. I don't think it's good to keep filming. I rather she pick Si Ming instead. That sounds like a bigger production.

I wouldn't believe it. If anything they're just trying to create more buzz for the drama. The drama as been true to the novel so far so why would it deviate from it? Plus, Tong Hua was in on the drama's storyline the whole time so I don't think they would dare to alter it. Plus, XL's character is probably the biggest draw in the story so why would they go alter it for Jing? Even though I favor Jing but I don't see that happening because it doesn't benefit the production in any way.

My goodness, is she not taking any break? Wonder if she got more offers than in the past and she doesn't want to pass any of them up. Or I wonder if she's thinking that she's in her 30s so she might as well do many as she can before she will not as desirable anymore.

Anyway, she should at least take a short break before a new project.

Really? I didn't see the trailer. If that's the case then that's awesome! I can't imagine them being willing to house in the country side. lol

I wish the storyline will have the family go bankrupt and then they have to go live with Huyn Woo's parents. That will so much more fun! His family just like so opposite so it'll be hilarious all around. Lol doesn't look like this story is heading that way but one can hope.

It was Sebastian Roche. He was in many movies and TV series so I was surprised to see him here. I guess Netflix wanted a special guest for that role. Lol

Not sure how to feel about this drama. I like it but don't I love it yet. It's quite cute so far but I also feel that that it's a bit slow. I seen the ML in other dramas before and I think he suits better in modern dramas. Some actors just doesn't have the look for costume dramas and it kind of aged him. While some actors look better in costume dramas than in real life. He's one of those that looks more charming in modern attire.

I'm loving this so far. I love Liu Xue Yi and always found JJY likeable. Though I do think she does look a bit fragile in this series. I hope she does not keep dieting and just be healthy.

Does anyone know when the reshoot with Hu Yi Xuan will happen? I hope it will happen because Hu Yi Xuan is a good actress. It'll be great if he can act along with Liu Xue Yi.

yay! I'm excited for another Li Yi Tong drama. She works so hard that I hope she will breakout soon as I hate to hear people said that she keeps being the FL but never got that famous. The girl has been working nonstop since last year. Well, more dramas for us to watch. hehe

I love Li Yi Tong but I have to admit that she's not spectacular beauty. I didn't read the novel yet but many you of you had said that the FL needs to be a great beauty. I think Guan Xiao Tong would be more fitting in terms of beauty but I don't know about her acting as I haven't watch many of her works.

Zoey Meng or Meng Zi Yi looks great in red from her previous dramas. She's quite a good actress but also quite underrated.

Thank you for your reply. I remember there used to be many more blogs but only Koalasplayground that only stuck around. I used to follow Dramabeans more because I used to watch more K dramas but now I hardly do. Sometimes I do feel like Koala herself created some posts just clickbait as she knows it'll create more views for her page. lol Well, it's an easy side gig so I don't blame her.

I simply made a comment from someone who doesn't know. God forbid that we made a comment on something and people think it's misinformation. How would I even know if that blog or you is false? I don't spend most countless hours of the day searching for celeb news or do I know Chinese. How do I even trust you or them in that matter because you're his die hard fan because I know I will bias towards Li Yi Tong too. I took your answer and I said I hope that is the case because I have no way of confirming it. I just processed the info as such as with all celeb gossip. Have to take everything in a the grain of salt. Like FB is any better and who goes on FB anymore except to go on marketplace. oh wow, just because I go on a drama page that I like to ask about stuff like is commenting often? ha! Again, I don't really know. I don't follow Cheng Yi that closely or much of the male actors. I only follow my favorite female actresses. I don't know Chinese so I relied on Ockoala's blog to get info. That was why I asked if the rumors were true. People jumped at me like I simply said that was what happened.
