Yeah I guess it was one of those dramas where we don't hv to take things that seriously and just enjoy the ride..I think the reason I couldn't enjoy it may be bcoz of my preference that I like to see stories with some real depth.. I guess I will try this one sometime later with a different perspective.

I don't want to compare too..But after I heard the similar premise I just expected it to be more serious with the love story and the obstacles they had to face just like the movie portrayed.. It would hv made things more interesting for me.. But they overall followed the cliche route of most kdrama romcoms(which people enjoy though).. That left me disappointed in the end despite of me being a fan of both the leads.
I still wonder what was so great about this drama.. It was just another romcom for me.. even though I was bored I kept watching for the 2nd couple(I found them more interesting and fun) .. Even after being a NK-SK love story everything seemed too easy here.. The villains were not even that much of a threat..just tools to make things uselessly dramatic...Their separation and crying scenes didn't make me emotional at all as everytime I knew they wd be magically together after a while.. The "Destiny" trope was sooo repetitive here it made me laugh..their switzerland meeting seriously?...I know I might be in the sheer minority but I didn't find anything masterpiece like in this
After more than two months of finishing it I have a sudden realisation. The plot has similarities to hindi movie…
Right.. But tbh Veer-zara felt more realistic to me..In that movie there was some real tension...the obstacles they had to face for loving each other while they were of enemy countries made it more interesting.. But in this drama everything looked like child's play.. They easily went frm one country to other and the villains were not even that threatening.. It was nothing more than a cheesy romcom..
I think Sunwoo just kept making bad choices till the end.. When she took Joonyoung away with her she shd have just left Gosan and live happily with her son somewhere else..Why did she have to ruin Taeoh now when she got back with her son.. All for what? As a consequence she lost one thing she fought so much for. . All these "what ifs" are making me mad lol
I think it was directed in a way that it felt like Sun Woo would forgive Tae Oh. That is why Joon Young left.…
I know the child suffered but he is old enough to atleast make things clear with his parents.. If they still keep making these mistakes then he is free to leave them.. He is only making things more difficult for himself.. He just misinterpreted everything in the end imo and his mom had to suffer the loss of one person she cared about..
Imo the show started really amazing but till the end it got kinda underwhelming.. It was good overall but when it ended it felt totally blank (unless we have a 2nd season which is not at all confirmed).. Like it didn't have THAT impact on me.. Also Gyuri was really irritating for me till the end but the actress is amazing.. Overall it was good and the acting of all young actors was top notch.. And Mr. Lee is one of the best things this show gave us
I'm on episode 2 and I'm already considering dropping the drama because of Gyuri. She's a horrible person through…
I am in the minority who hated her till the end.. Yes everyone was at fault someway or the other but she was hella annoying.. There is a difference between being badass and being downright b!tch
I don't get it.. Why did Joon young run away? Sunwoo was just comforting Tae oh at that moment which was pretty obvious.. She never intended to get back with him she made it clear..Everything she was doing seemed out of sympathy and nothing else..Joon young himself shouldn't have gone with him in the first place then right? That kid is even more unstable than his father... Also someone explain the ending scene to me.. Did he actually return or not?
Hmmm No.. But there were many lines showing how much they cared for and supported each other always.. It made me cry.. It's just I couldn't see it more than bromance like others say
But is there really a need for verbal confirmation to "prove" a relationship? Also nothing wrong with it being…
Actually it was being recommended as a BL drama but after watching I realized it was more like a bromance and I was expecting a lil bit more till the end (bcz of everything I heard abt the ship) but it was just a lovely friendship. Those who hv read the novel can say it's romance but I haven't, so I didn't feel it from the drama.. Nonetheless they had amazing chemistry .
This drama was sooo good.. It's really unforgettable. But somehow it makes me sad to realize that their relationship was only bromance. There wasn't even a single line implicating that it was something more.. I just feel that it was all in my head and just wishful thinking :(... Still I can't stop praising how awesome everything was.. Can anyone recommend some good series like this but also with lil bit real romance between leads hehe
I know tkem has enough critical reviews, but for over a year they built our anticipation and expectation for the…
Same here.. I was expecting that it would be a fun show as I love the parallel world concept. The story is still good but they keep showing so many boring elements and more boring romance (PPLs are worse i must say) that it becomes hard to stay. I still check the comments to see if it got better but still I don't get much convincing reasons other than some actors doing a great job. I guess I cd hv tolerated this if they were the MCs instead lol. I will wait till next week to decide whether I hv to say goodbye forever to this show or we have some hope.. But yeah most of us feel kinda cheated after almost a year of looking forward to THIS sadly
Right.. LMH's popularity is the main reason people are kinda blindly defending this drama and ignoring the many flaws(specially how can people defend the romance plot in this one? Lol) . As I said earlier the plot is great but the execution has been terrible.. People can be so biased towards their oppa that they start saying it's the actress's look's fault *sigh*.. Well I m watching another drama "extracurricular" and it's definitely more engaging than TKEM for me. Popularity doesn't cloud my judgement hehe
Also someone explain the ending scene to me.. Did he actually return or not?
