omg loving the ending of episode 17 :o
tug a war for sungnyang <3
I agree. I think it would have been a nicer moment if they had both held her hands gently instead of all that grabbing and pulling. She was struggling to get out of Ta Hwan's grasp while he persisted which I always HATE seeing in dramas. Stop jerking the girl around and let her decide herself!
So far so good! I love our two leads and also find Se Mi an interesting character. Yoo In Na plays her so sweetly. I appreciate that our second lead girl isn't a 1-dimensional character who's only purpose is to cause senseless conflicts. I anticipate that Se Mi will get her time to shine which will come at Song Yi's expense. I look forward to seeing that play out. Our second lead man Hwi Kyung is less interesting to me. I think his one sided pursuit of Song Yi could get tiring if it's dragged out too long. But so far I'm hooked on this drama!
Ta Hwan is an arrogant, spoiled, immature, cowardly brat but for some reason I'm rooting for him so hard. I just hope that there starts to be some serious character growth now. Time to grow up! I think once he starts maturing and stops trying to keep Nyang locked up in his palace their relationship could develop into something great to watch. Fingers crossed!
I disagree with you about Dok Mi since I thought her character was unique, complex and well written. She was a recluse and anti-social but what made her interesting to me was how self-aware she was. She had emotional scars and recognized that they were holding her back but just couldn't figure out how to deal with them. I actually thought the drama got less interesting when it shifted more heavily towards the romance near the end.
ack can't believe he's only born in 1997! Man that makes me feel old T_T Looking forward to seeing him in more roles after Adolescence Medley. He was so very cute in that.
Short, simple and very very cute. Nothing revolutionary here but if you're looking for a sweet high school romance that will make you laugh and feel all warm and fuzzy this is it.
WOW WTH??? They spend the entire series hinting that Binggurae is gay only to have him end up with a woman out of nowhere?? Of course I understand it's a possibility that he could be attracted to both men and women but why spend all this time suggesting his character is gay and having this big crush on Trash and have it amount to nothing? Such a wasted opportunity. and the fake out with the red car? I usually love twists if they are done smartly but I feel cheated this time. Like the writers are all going "HA fooled ya!". Not cool.
A positive thing about these past two eps? THOSE 1997 CAMEOS. Dong Il meeting himself was THE BEST. sigh....I miss those characters so much.
Decided to try this out on a whim and I'm only one episode in but already impressed! It's beautiful to look at and the story is zippy. The first episode is fast paced without being confusing which I appreciate. I hope it can stay this interesting for its fifty episode run.
Oh man...seeing the preview with 1997 cameos made me realize how much I miss those characters. I think 1994 did a better job with creating a strong ensemble cast but nobody can beat Sung Shi Won as leading lady. Her relationship with Yoon Jae got me right in the heart.
I am team Chilbong but I think that Oppa as the husband is more likely at this point. There just isn't enough time for the show to cover them breaking up, the heartbreak, Na Jeong getting over Oppa and eventually falling in love with Chilbong in a realistic way. I was really hoping that she would be able to get over her first love and move on but it is seeming less and less likely as we get closer to the end.
I am surprised at all the negative comments about this drama. Maybe it isn't anything "new" but I still…
I agree. I don't worry too much if things are cliche as long as it entertains me. However this drama didn't really work for me. I was hoping even though this may turn into a hot mess (a la boys before flowers) it would still be addicting. But I couldn't get myself to care about the characters and with no emotional hook it was getting very dull. But that's just me :P Obviously the ratings show that it's doing something right!
LOVE IS THE MOMEEEENT. I can't take the romantic scenes seriously when this comes on LOL. Giving me flashbacks to ALMOST PARADIIIISE :P
I think I'm going drop this and will probably just read recaps to find out what happens. I had such high hopes for this drama! Turns out all the pretty couldn't make up for the lacklustre characters and weak story. For me the show was mediocre at best and frustratingly dull at its worst. I do hope Kim Woo Bin gets to be the leading man in his next drama. Even though I wasn't too fond of his character I love him as an actor.
A tad predictable as most romantic comedies are but so enjoyable anyway! Refreshing to see a korean movie where people are bluntly talking about sex and relationships like how they do in real life. Lots of laugh out loud moments and Ji Sung is hella hot ;)
I REALLY liked this drama at the beginning since it came across as a cute rom com with a couple I enjoyed watching. Unfortunately it completely veers off track mid way and I was so bored/frustrated/confused that I dropped it with 3 episodes to go. I read recaps for the last episodes and turns out the ending did not redeem the show at all. I think Yoon Eun Hye is lovely in everything she does but this show is a mess.
I usually can't stand melos because of their convoluted plots, extreme dramatics, irrational characters and just downright ridiculousness. I can say I was pleasantly surprised by this drama and how it was able to stay pretty logical and put together. There is definitely lots of angst and you start to wonder how much more miserable life can get for our heroine but the drama manages to stay on track for much of the story. Lots of suspense and a wonderful romance. The first 3 episodes drag a bit but after we get past the set up it's an addicting ride from there!
Oppa and Na Jeong were just adorable in this week's episodes and in the preview they look like a happy couple but I still have my hopes pinned on Chil Bong. With still 8 episodes to go I hope the writers have some surprises up their sleeves and don't end the show in a predictable and boring way.
I love scenes with Eun Sang's mom and Tan's mom. Plus anything with Chan Young and Bo Na. I've given up on the main characters. These other relationships are way more fun to watch :P
Am I in the minority when I say I just don't really like Young Do? I love Kim Woo Bin and think he's doing a stellar…
I think YD is a little more than intimidating. He's a horrible bully (in a school that is full of them frankly) and I'm ok with that as a character. My only complaint is that the character growth in this show has been slower than I would like.

I agree how KT literally jerks Eun Sang and orders her around is not much better to watch. I wouldn't appreciate being barked at by my boyfriend like that. Then we also have YD tripping her in the cafeteria and dropping her right into a pool. That girl has to put up with so much. I don't know why I'm still watching when both boys are so frustrating lol. I guess seeing Chan Young and Bo Na does make me happy :P

I squealed at Sung Dong Il's little Joon appearing. DWAYG fan here!
