Generation gap, there has never been a bigger generation gap than our generation in history. We learned and grew up with internet and all the modern perspectives but our parents had the same old perspectives and they never really changed. So, there is a huge generation gap between Geg-z and their parents, mainly in Asian families. But I am happy this will fade slowly as Gen-Z's slowly have their own family.

Well...at the end of the day, it's because we know about the choices we have but our parents never really had these choices. Their perspective and worldview is limited. It is selfish when you hide things from your close people when it's your pride you are trying to protect. And you try to reason with yourself saying I would rather face this situation myself. It may feel noble to not burden other people with our problems. But, at the end of the day, its because we couldn't share our vulnerabilities. We would rather push our friends away than just talk it out. So, it's selfish because we are pushing a relationship one way without caring about the other person at all.

Yeah, fl is kinda naive so she has such hope but our ml has see the world. He can't bear to bet all his stakes on anyone. But it's funny how fl keeps outsmarting or oneupping on ml.

What she did is just human nature. She felt belittled by fl because of flower incident. And maybe she has been jealous since they became friends but never really noticed as the jealousy or her "low status" stacked slowly. The flower incident and the maid tipped her off. Also, she was in a "lover" vs friend who she resented then. So, obviously the scales tipped towards the supposed lover. How fl's situation turned out so extreme, she could never know. That's how I could see anyone in that women's situation might make that choice.
Also how are you all surprised by her decisions when fl's family did all of that? I thought she was bad, but her family caught me off-guard by how cruel and evil someone can be. So, it didn't faze me much by her decisions.
Also ps: I am not defending her, she is selfish and kinda evil. But a completly natural human reaction there. Ppl who always create perfect image fall into this kind of situation. So, never be fake, be yourself and you will avoid these situations.

The point of this drama is simple, We are all Trying Here. People like to assume a lot of things without really knowing the whole story. Everyone tries, everyone has a story. So, we should live understanding this. Treat strangers with kindness, treat people nicely.
These kind of simple things, I think is the point of this drama. We are all trying here, it's not just you who has it hard. Everyone struggles, everyone cries, and yet, not everyone can smile.

What I will say about this is it seems like only the rich can talk about stuffs like being free and for middle class folks like us, survivability seems to come first, before freedom. But that's the tricky part. It seems impossible to be free when you are dirt poor. I think it's just our state of mind lacking. Like we can't fathom a solution in those extreme situations. But humanity thrives wherever. Even in extreme situations, I believe humans can transcend.
We think like this, I would rather die than beg for anything? What's wrong with begging in reality? It's for survival. That's also being free. Not bounded by any rules or anything, you just live your life wherever it takes you. When you don't care, that's when you are free. But we care. We care about how others see us, how we see ourselves and so on. That's why we can't fathom how poor can be free. And I believe someone with this state of mind can live peacefully whether he is rich or poor. After all, everyone struggles whatever the state of mind. That is the joy of life.
