- Matriarchy setting
- FL is a princess
- Both FLs are similar in the sense that they're quirky, witty, and cute (AHL's FL is more assertive and stronger than the FL in TRoTaR) (Both actresses also look similar, lol)
- FL abducts a man who was betrothed to someone else to marry him instead (ML in TRoTaR, SML in AHL)

Similarities in the first half of "Feng Ta" and the entirety of "Forever Love"
- CEO FLs
- Powerful and badass FL
- FL chases ML first
- Red-flag FL
- Naive and trusting ML
- Dom FL x Sub ML
- FL manipulates and coerces ML to be with her
- Rich Woman/Poor Man
- F/M/F love triangle
- Gender role reversal in both (more in "Forever Love"
The first half of "Feng Ta" is very similar to "Forever Love", but "Forever Love" commits way more to the role reversal and doesn't do a bait-and-switch, which "Feng Ta" does in the second half.

- Republican era
- Starts role reversal/femdom then turns more traditional/mdom
- Misunderstandings
- ML and FL are former lovers (since the start in NotBM, after the timeskip in FT)
- Strong and domineering FLs

- ML is in a steady relationship but is pursued by another woman
- Sweet and nice ML
- Toxic GF (FL in "Trust is Love", SFL in "Forever Love")

- ML is coveted by various women
- Rich Woman/Poor Man
- ML is forced into a dynamic/job he doesn't want (Host in "Trust is Love", Contract boyfriend in "Forever Love")
"Forever Love" is "Trust is Love" if the SFL was the FL and if ML ditched his nasty GF in the end. If you were disappointed by "Trust is Love", give "Forever Love" a try.

- Princess Royal FL
- Scholar ML
- Leads had a previous relationship that left them both with a lot of resentment
- Lovers to enemies... to lovers?
- Both are political and showcase the power of the princess royal
- Both FLs are shady and pretend to be worse than they are
- Gender role reversal themes in both
TPD has no rebirth. TPR does.

TPD - main dynamic (first few episodes) | ADltTL - secondary dynamic
- Scholar turned minister ML
- Princess royal FL (SFL in ADltTL)
- Princess abducts ML and keeps him as her slave/plaything
- Black Flag FL/SFL
- Vengeful and crazy FL/SFL
- Short-length and beautifully shot historical cdramas
Main differences lie in the fact that ML and FL in TPD have beef while in ADltTL, SFL is just infatuated with ML. Because of this, ML in TPD is far more submissive than ML in ADltTL. ADltTL's main romance is very healthy.

Plots are very different, with LaL being a workplace romcom and QYBDHYG being a rich people melodrama, but the dynamic between the leads was similar in the role-reversed BDSM aspect. FL is the dominant one while ML is the submissive one, and their BDSM dynamic is explored 'platonically' first and then develops into romance later.
In QYBDHYG the dynamic is more master/pet and naturally more dubious with its consent, which was handled very well in LaL, but since there's so little RR BDSM dynamics, I thought of recommending this one here.
Both stories also featured a lot of role reversal aside of the BDSM aspect.

- Femdom x malesub
- FL tames ML but he likes it
- Bold, flirty and protective FL
- Shy and submissive ML (more aloof in BbS)
- FL is a rich heiress
- Fight for inheritance
- Both are melodramatic and not very good plot-wise
- Gender role reversal in both
- Master FL x Plaything ML (pet in QYBDHYG, bodyguard in BbS)
QYBDHYG did the role reversal a lot better than BbS but in BbS the dynamic is more *intimate* than in QYBDHYG. QYBDHYG has the fantasy element that BbS does not. BbS is more 'realistic' and plot-focused while QYBDHYG is just pure entertainment.

Couldn't help but keep thinking of "Run On" while watching this special. Both deal with a main character who moves on from a previous field (idol in DSS15:FH, pro athlete in RO) onto a new stage in life. Both are mature and heartfelt.
The ML also reminds me a lot of Yim Si Wan which definitely helped.
