To me, it sounds like the standard Spanish used to dub movies/shows originally in other languages. Or maybe it's supposed to be Spanish from the Islas Canarias or some other place the don't use the too emphasized "Z"?

The monster CGI was not good, but if you have watched enough monster type movies , read enough comic books, and/or played enough video games, your brain will be flipping through your memory's monster index cards trying to figure out where you've seen it before so it won't bother you that much. At least, that was my experience. 😂

I hope so, but it doesn't seem likely with all that's in the pot.
