Not an HE in its common definition. However, the main characters go through a rollercoaster journey against fate…
Thank you for responding!!! These kind of endings are the ones that I hate the most. Specially of long dramas like this one. I always hope to see a HE (or at least a satisfying one) for the leads after all they go through. So I'll skip this one this time. :D
With all of these points, I am going to be SUPER happy with this drama!!! Thank you for sharing this. I've made…
You're welcome! Hope you enjoy it! And if possible, let me know your feedback when you finish it. You may have a different point of view and I'd like to read that :)

Agree. And in my case, I think this is it. I feel like is not monotonous, and that's why I loved it. Is kinda different from other wuxia/xianxia. You do have some wuxia cliches like the evil concubine made queen who wants her son to be the heir, but is just part of the story. It is what it is. In a drama where there's monarchy you'll always see that kind of rivalry, and if you don't, welp, is just too idealistic.

Well, this is just my opinion and point of view. Some people didn't like it that much since it starts with a lot of action and then kinda drops the intensity because they focus on politics. But I think it's understandable since the drama's about "who rules the world", so they give us precisely that.
(please don't spoil much, just wanna know if it's a happy or sad/tragic ending)
I know chinese dramas don't usually have a HE or at least a satisfying one.
Overall I also liked this drama. Doesn't have the typical wuxia clichés
The few wuxia clichés here are actually reasonable.
