I do agree with you it's really overused but I think it's the only way he could've saved ZongYi 's life! the grandfather won't back down until he separates them . the only way for ZongYi to have a somewhat normal life after prison is by Rui removing himself completely from it. he must have thought of this as the better solution..

that love scene deserves a 10/10

Alright... I know I've only seen it yesterday but for the life of me I can never get over AiDi and that love scene 🥺.. the way he was looking at ChenYi's tattoo one last time, it's like a constant reminder that Yi will never love him back 💔. he kept debating within himself whether to do it or not. his tears kept falling on Yi's face as if to say sorry but I have to do this! 😢.... what's hurting the most is that Yi wasn't sober enough to say yes or no .. or to even remember what went down!! I wish they would discuss this more in the next episode because I've had it with them two not communicating 😠

I'm 100% sure he's faking it to save ZongYi! the grandfather wanted him dead not just sent to prison . he knew he'll pursue Rui after he's released. this Godfather is such an evil bish 😠... he doesn't want his grandson to be gay
