if it's a lighthearted one, I don't see how it will affect his career (hopefully). I think the Chinese are now more accepting of the idea these days. it's definitely not the same when Addicted aired the first time then got banned so harshly as if someone had committed some heinous crime on TV 😂 even the actors were banned from seeing each other again 😕 like WTF 🤬
on the other hand, taiwanese BLs are well known for not being shy when it comes to skinship 😁 not sure if you've seen the fan service scene that came out about this series though🤭

The only problem with this series is the short episodes. The visuals of the main couple are insane! No mention of a side couple yet. It looks like general manager has some sort of childhood trauma which they haven't explored yet. I can't wait to learn about it

he might have taken up the role to expand his audience! I, for example,wouldn't have known him if he hadn't taken up this role as I don't watch Cdrama

I haven't seen him in other dramas other than Never Let Me Go and I thought his kiss with Phuwin was bad cause it was scripted in this way! turns out I was wrong 😒 if that's how he kisses his female co-stars then he definitely has an issue! such a shame because apart from that he's a very good actor and loved watching him in Never Let Me Go

Yes. I totally agree with you on the "Unexpected" element of that kiss. If I was Sailom I would've slapped the shit outta Kang when he kissed me. because... WTF... 😡.. now you wanna kiss when all you ever felt for me was guilt! ... aaaaaaa 🤬
on the other hand Chimon didn't convince me at all that Sailom had any feelings for Kang!
Not sure if you've watched Never Let Me Go but Chimon had the same expression when he was kissing Phuwin! Back then I thought it was scripted because he wasn't the ML.
To me the element of surprise (oh! now you're kissing me like WTF!) although it takes away the beauty of the kiss, it shouldn't compromise on the "chemistry" element of it .i.e you still have to engage the audience with the skinship part because we ARE looking forward to it!

But I am committed to giving this show a chance even though I was 100% invested from day 1 and now my interest has dropped to a 60 %.

To me that part of the Eighth sense that touched on mental heath was a big deal. I loved how the therapist wasn't afraid of confronting JaeWon in order to make him process his feelings before and after the accident and what led him to first, seek refuge with that "young student " and then later on , try to push him away when he though he was hurting him out of selfishness.
the development of both characters was the best part about this Drama. You were spot on when you mentioned how structure is everything. We saw how JiHyun blossomed from a shy country boy to a grown man who's not afraid of showing his feelings and fighting for the man he loved when he knew he loved him back. jiHyun knew his man loved him but he had to fight all his demons first before crossing to the other side ❤️ evertime I watched that scene when he yelled at JaeWon to come and talk to him otherwise he's going to make a scene I nearly cry! not only because his courage was incredible, it's because I was never able to behave the way he did 20 years back when I was around his age! instead I'd let my female ego get the best of me and walked away from the man I thought I loved. I couldn't bare the thought of him rejecting me when I was only 19! I know that real life is completely 100% different than the one portrayed in Dramas. but I can't help but wonder what could it have been!

I told you I can't stop gushing about this BL. it's my favourite so far and I have watched a lot 😅. I've never watch He's coming to Me yet but now it's at the top of my list.

Trust me! I'm 100 % sure I didn't "see" sadism because I "wanted to" I didn't have a clue what this BL was about before I started watching it. when I realised the dynamic between the two I knew immediately that it wasn't for me! it's just that I can't stop watching it and that's making mad at myself for watching and more mad at myself for bitching about Mizuki afterwards 😂
Those two have insane chemistry on screen! their visuals are out of this world! in my head I keep telling Yoh to run and in my heart I want him to stay 🫤
I really don't know how to explain it any further 😵‍💫
let's revisit this when the show ends. I wanna see if the ending might change my mind. And I promise I'll keep an open mind and I'll admit it if I realised I was wrong 😁
