I haven't read the novel as I don't like to compare before watching the drama adaptation. It's safe to say we're all tired of self-righteous FLs who seem convinced they must stick their nose into everything.
Liao Ting Yan is sensible and knows her limitations. She knows what she can and can't do or say. It's realistic and refreshing of someone who had a corporate job in her previous world.
Often you get the FL stepping into the middle of a fight or getting hurt because of acting all self-righteous. Not this FL. She does the smart thing and hides while ML fights😆
